I really loved these shoes. I've used them for walking and hiking and they've been very comfortable and do well to grip on rocks when I hike. Only issue is, they have not held up. I've worn these a few times a week for the last 3 months and the insole has worn down and inside fabric near the ankle is worn so the foam is coming out. Merrell is my go-to shoe, and most have held up beautifully, but these were a disappointment to spend so much money and have them not last.

I purchased two pairs of these in black and purple. The black pair is super comfortable, while the purple still fits, but definitely not as comfortable. I compared them side by side and the pair that are comfortable are much larger than the other pair, probably a full size difference. I should have noticed this right away, so unfortunately now I have a pair of shoes I can't return. Not pleased with the fact that the sizing is so inconsistent.

Extremely comfortable right out of the box. My feet don't hurt, no shin splints and no hip pain. However, they don't last more than 6 months. The entire bottom is worn right thru and the inside of the heel is worn thru. I bought a 2nd pair and again, only lasted 6 months which is why I rate 3 stars. I walk with my dog 3 miles daily. I wish they were more durable

Too bulky. This shoe is just too much. Bought two pairs and not happy.

Not very comfortable. Picture looks like there would be a lot of cushion, but there isn't.

These were super cushy and I liked the bright color, but I ended up returning because the upper part was very thick/heavy and tight across the top of my foot even though the width and length of the shoe felt comfortable and true to size. Felt like my feet were suffocating after wearing them around the house for just an hour :-/

I like the look of this shoe and after breaking it in it I thought they were fine. Unfortunately the left shoe started rubbing the top of my big toe and wore through my socks. I discovered the mesh on the top had worn away after only a few weeks use. I have been wearing Merrell shoes for about 20 years and this is the first time this has happened. I contacted Zappos and they took care of the defect. So far the second pair is holding up, no holes in my socks!

They are comfortable but I find my Moab winter waterproof shoes have a better toe box area and offer more overall support.

Overall I would say these fit true to size but wide. For reference, I consistently wear a 6.5 in Nike and was same size in these. They definitely run wide - I sometimes have problems with shoes being too narrow. They also have horrible traction for a trail shoe. I wore them twice on a trail and slipped a couple times just walking up a mild incline. I am not sure how much was due to the extra width but wouldn't recommend them for serious hikes. They are comfortable though.

Didn't fall in love. These were just okay. After wearing for a few hours, I decided to give the shoes to a local thrift shop. The cushioning was good, but overall felt awkward on my feet.

I have had these for about 3 months and they are very comfortable but the bottom is already separating from the shoe. For the price I would have thought these shoes would last longer, I have owned other Merrell shoes and love them. Disappointed in the quality of these shoes.

They are very comfortable but I keep catching the back of the sole on things, like getting up from the couch.

Had to return these. On first try in a Merrill store, they felt really good - supportive and decent sole. Ordered from Zappos to be sure, but after wearing them for just a few minutes at home, I could feel the tread come through the sole. Not comfortable.

The length felt right - but after wearing them on a long walk they laces - which were as loose as they could go - made the tops of my feet hurt. Disappointed that I cannot return them as I got rid go the box because I was so sold on the style. My lesson learned.

I ordered MARINE based on the color online. Upon seeing them in person they definitely speak green marine rather than teal as they appear in the photos. The last picture online is probably the best description of the color. Not super happy as I've been looking for the color in the first few photos.

I love everything about this shoes, it is awesome for my daily long walks and the fabric seems strong that I won't worry my toes would poke a hole at all. I also the width for my wide feet, although it is marked as regular width. But the Viram outsole is surprisingly weak, I just check the bottom of my shoes and many traction points has disappeared.

This is the second pair of these shoes I bought- the first pair was outstanding (or I wouldn't have bought another pair). I loved the lightness of the shoe, fit, durability, and overall comfort. Unfortunately, I bought this current pair (same exact make/ model!!) in February 2023, and they are already worn out. I hike/walk trails a lot, and my first pair lasted a year. This pair never felt as great as the first, and now they are awful. I feel the quality of this particular product has gone downhill significantly. I buy a lot of their products, and this is the first time I've been disappointed.

No stability around the foot or ankle. They look so comfy and cushy yet your foot can sit comfully in the shoe but there is nothing holding your foot in place and literally I felt like my foot was going out the side and not staying in place. It's a shame because it looked very comfortable as well as something that would work great for my flat feet and give me some traction yet also comfort for my legs. It's a shame that there is absolutely no stability to keep your foot in place

TerribleNO arch supportflimsy and feel front area of my feet lean outward. After walking a mile the balls under my feet and arch were in horrible pain! For years I only buy merrell especially for the arch support and q2 technology other brands don't have but these are just so disappointing. Surprised at the great reviews they are good for casualgymregular activity very comfortable for that ONLY. Had to purchase alverstone model at an added expense wasn't planning on which do work Disgusted on merrell copying the same as everyone else. Colors sure love them keep that up but don't loose original technologyto be the same.stand out

Learned my lesson the hard way...ordered online and got busy then 30 days had passed so I couldn't return them. These fit fine, but they are just more bulky than I was looking for. Most of my running is on asphalt and these seem to have a heavy lug-sole like you would get in a work boot. I should have opted for a more barefoot-type model. (I used to LOVE the Bare Access Arcs but now they've updated the models to have so much more structure and material on the bottoms. I also had the Banshee after that which worked well for all-purpose trainers but also lost their cushion too soon, my feet would be sore after a short run) The way the back of the sole extends out so much gets caught on stuff too. For all of the space the footbed takes up, it might as well be Hokas which are light. Good arch support but they are not well cushioned. And I've also started to feel rubbing against the sides of my big toes. I'll do my shoe shopping in-person now and look for something that feels like my Topo Athletic Fli-Lyte's used to.
