I purchased the white ones in June loved so much I ended up ordering two more colors in August but before they even arrived - the soles / rubber parts on bottom started coming off on both soles of the white ones! So disappointed - have purchases Merrill's for years - what's happened to quality?

My parents both have a pair of Merrell's and they rave about them, so I wanted to get a pair. I am very petite and have never had a shoe this narrow. The shoe is more like a glove and the laces don't seem necessary. I tried to loosen them up all the way, but I think they are only useful for making the shoe tighter, and dear lord I can't imagine purposely tying those any tighter. It felt like it was squeezing my entire foot and was so uncomfortable. There isn't much give in the fabric at all either, so "breaking them in" didn't seem to be an option. I'll be returning for a different style, but I'm disappointed because I liked the look of these. Just poorly executed :(

I've worn Merrells my whole life. I've never had an uncomfortable pair until I got these. They are really narrow and feels like I'm walking on a golf ball. I am very surprised and disappointed. I love the color. I am returning them to get a different style of Merrells.
