Love these! I have wider, shorter feet. Measured I wear a true women’s 6.5 wide (wider at the ball, more narrow at the heel.) I usually just wear size 7 in regular shoes and 7.5 in athletic. Went with 7.5 and they’re perfect! The first time I wore them they slipped at the heel a little but the next time I used the additional top eyelet and they didn’t budge. They were great on rocky terrain and off trail as well as flat smoother surfaces. Good arch support for my high arches and great base that made me feel secure (ankle roller here?). Comfortable from the first wear. Highly recommend!

Awesome overall. Very comfortable out of the box. Light weight, they have a tennis shoe feel with more stability. They are breathable. I wore them on the treadmill a few hours with no problems and later wore them for 12 mile hike in rocky terrain. My feet were not sore during the hike or the next day. Highly recommend the Moab Speed, Merrill’s.

After having ankle replacement surgery I needed a shoe that would work for my PT, my hikes to get me back on the trail, and ironically for work. I teach at a military school and on my feet all day. I am an honorary COL in the army and could not wear my uniform shoe for several months. These solid black hike shoes fit the bill as uniform dress is strict in the army. They fit perfectly, gave me a lot of standing and walking support, and as mentioned I used them for PT. What a great shoe! I love them. Healing quickly but they are still my go to shoe for on the walking trail.

These shoes are awesome! I have been hiking in the Moab 2 Vents and got these to try something lighter. I always go 1/2 size up in my hiking shoes. These are roomy, and comfortable. They feel so much lighter and yet still did really well on very rocky trails. The traction was also great which is important to me since I hike in the mountains.

I've been using these for summer hiking on horse trails and other gravel trails in the metro park and national park south of Cleveland. They are very comfortable and have a great grip. I just ordered a second pair as I know there are manufacturing changes and I wanted this exact shoe.

Amazing waterproof trail runner with good grip for slushy and icy northern springs. Good arch support for flat feet. Fits a bit small. I'm usually 8.5 but I needed an 8, and they're almost perfect however one is a little bit tight in the toe box. It doesn't compromise how comfortable they are though!

The top of the shoes pressed down on my toes a bit. They fit quite well, slightly roomy so I could wear a thick sock. But I didn't want my toes to start hurting.

Bought these as a backup pair for a hiking trip up mountains in Red Rocks, JTree, and Zion. Ended up being the only pair I wore and I'd recommend them to anyone. I have narrow feet and a high arch and the support was perfect. They held up to wet mud and loose gravel easily and kept my feet warm and dry when worn with good quality wool socks. I'm usually a size 7.5 but had to exchange them for a size 8.

I normally wear a Moab 2 waterproof, but bought these for a recent trip to Arizona with hot desert temps. I wasn't sure about their softer sole, but tried them, hiking Sedona and the Grand Canyon. They were great, good grab on the rocks and harder trails. They were comfortable in all trail conditions, and only one trail made me wish I had my higher Moab 2 boot for the ankle support. So glad I went with them, and am really happy I have these two options now.

I have been a Moab fan for years. I recently bought the Moab Speed to replace a pair with that still looked great but had many miles on them. The Speed has the same excellent fit, arch support, and "straight out of the box" comfort as my old pair with the added benefit of having a footbed with a more "cushiony" feel to it. I absolutely love them!

Best walking / sport shoes I ever bought! It's greatly comfortable and brings a lot of balance and solid structure to your body from the bottom up. Having sciatica, that is hugely appreciated ! I would have given a 5 star rating if the bottom of the left shoe hadn't ripped in less than a year from purchase. Otherwise, I highly recommend those!

In the past I have owned 3 pairs of Moabs. This particular style has an awkward fit in the toe box. From the moment I put it on the shoe rubbed on my foot (near big toe). Returning as I can't risk wearing and getting blisters when sitting in my house with the shoe on I felt like I was getting a hot spot. The cushioning felt great so I wish the overall shoe had worked.

The shoes seemed comfortable right when I put them on. But when I walked in them, I realized they were pressing down on my bog toe nails. This would have been a painful hike, had I kept them. :(

I was so sad these did not work out. The fit around the heel was loose. Even when I cinched the laces as tight as I could, I could slip the shoe off without untying it. I have worn many styles of Merrell's over the last decade and these are the only ones that did not work out for me.

I love the look of these shoes and they are quite comfortable when standing as others have mentioned, however, the toe box area is stiff and uncomfortable when walking. My toes hit the front of the shoe and I thought that sizing up would help, but I noticed it in both the 8 (my usual size) and the 8.5. Returning these to try the Moab Flight.

The material was wrinkled on the upper, and it felt very wide. I returned these and got the Flight instead - love them!! I am still a Merrill fan, the Speed just wasn't for me.

My feet are killing me!!! Starting with the positives - Nice style, spacious toe box area Now the negatives - To much arch support Shoe is stiff, little to no give when walking Heel is to wide I tried to wear these shoes for short intervals two days in a row. Miserable!!! My very worn out Merrill shoes of similar style I have worn for about 6 years are much more comfy and don’t cause foot pain. I have worn this shoe brand for many years, what has happened??? Very disappointed I have to return these.
