After many recommendations from coworkers, I decided to buy my first pair of Merrill shoes. It was a huge mistake....waiting so long! A great fit and cushion. I walk on concrete floors at work and it has made a real difference. I recommend highly.

I almost never leave reviews but felt compelled to write about how great these shoes are. Bought these for a trip out west which was going to include some trail hiking and a lot of walking. I've had stubborn on and off heel pain / plantar fasciitis for a couple of years and have custom orthotics, so finding a shoe that is comfortable, supportive and will accommodate orthotics correctly is a real challenge. I have to say these shoes felt amazing out of the box -- they were very comfortable/cushioned, stable and had a very natural feeling strike / roll through when walking or running. They had moderate arch support on their own but not enough for my feet; but they accommodated my orthotics great. I broke them in for a 3 days before our trip. The first couple of days away we hiked ~4 - 5 miles per day on mixed terrain; they had great traction and were cushioned enough for moderately rough terrain. My feet felt great and didn't hurt at all during or the morning after hiking. Later in the week we spent two 10 - 12 hour days on our feet all day, covering 10 - 15 miles of pavement/concrete. The shoes were super comfortable all day; my feet were definitely tired but I think in any prior shoes I would have been extremely uncomfortable after 6 - 8 hours or less. I usually default to ON's for HOKA's for my everyday shoe, but these are my new favorite hands down. The only downside; if you are doing serious hiking on really rough terrain the baseplate isn't as firm as real hiking shoes/boots and doesn't offer quite as much support/protection.

Loved the fit and feel right out of the box. Can't wait to hit the trail with these. Great looking and have gotten some great comments from others about their look.
