These are great boots, especially for being vegan (yay!) as they are soft, supple and simply classic. I bought them after years of searching for a boot that is flattering, stable and is for a petite woman. I am 5' tall and so have a shorter distance from my heel to the bottom of my knee. I also have slim calves though athletic so I am not talking toothpick legs. But it is impossible to find a simple dress boot that isn't "wide" in the calf and is just below the knee, and doesn't bunch around the ankle. While these weren't that for me, they were so much closer than any other boot I've tried in years. I want a boot that is slim fitting from the ankle to the knee and doesn't go above my knee. Luckily Zappos is amazing at giving those measurements. Unlucky for me, these were still too loose around the knee so back they go, but for other petite women this might be a perfect boot for you. Try it!
