I bought these as a gift for my boyfriends birthday since he's been wearing his pair almost everyday for over a year and they were pretty dirty. I got this pair which was different than the last and they started tearing at the seams 1 month after giving them to him.

We was disappointed. I bought them for my husband, he said they were comfortable but for the price I would've expected them to last more than 1 year.

I have three different pairs of Sanuks and thought I would enjoy these as much, but the heel keeps slipping down and it feels like my shoe is going to come off. I ordered the same size as always but the heel is flimsy.

These are very cushy and comfy, but the shape is more narrow than the regular Vagabonds and didn't fit my square feet as well.

This is my 5th pair of Sanuk's and the worst. My other pair of sidewalk surfers are still going strong. I was very excited to see you come out with pair you can use as slides. The quality of this pair is substandard and nothing like my other purchases. The seams along the back where they fold are coming apart. Very disappointed.

I bought these as a Father's Day gift. He was so happy to have them as his last pair have lasted many years. However, three weeks of wearing (indoors only, they are his indoor pair), they are coming apart. The base is separating from the main shoe part near the toe. I am exchanging so hope it was a one-time thing. That is why I am giving this a 2 star. This pair has fallen apart quickly, but I hope the next pair we exchange it for will last.

I can't comment too much on the shoe because most of our experience has been the return process. My oldest son used to wear these all the time. My younger son wanted to try a pair for his birthday. We ordered up since he is an 11.5 and there are no half sizes. It was way too big. I went through the process for the exchange online so that I could get the same lower price that I paid the first time. No confirmation until they received the first pair back. Then no information about an exchange except for the line "If your replacement product is not available, a refund will be processed to your original form of payment." I contacted the chat support to see what was going on. Really long response wait in between comments. No resolution, no offer to give me the same price for a new purchase since it was their mistake. They said they will issue a refund after I wait 10 business days to process. Not helpful because now I have to order a pair at the full price and there's no birthday gift to show for it. Very frustrating experience.

I've been all over the state I live in pointing out the same manufacturing defect at places that sell Sanuks. So I purchased two pair online at Sanuk and they have the same defect. After waisting half my morning trying to send them back ( Sanuk has no customer service anymore ) I just gave up. Used to be the best shoe ever.

I purchased a pair from a retail outlet and the canvas upper shoe was detaching from the sole. I followed up with a mail order purchase, direct from the company, and discovered the same issues. There were separations at the heels, front sides and toe. Needless, I returned the shoes and now barefoot on the coast. In the 20+ years of wearing these shoes, this is the only issue I have experienced. What has changed?

The are intentionally slouchy and poorly sized. This leads to me tripping by hooking my toes under the stepsevery time! Then I step out of my shoes and have to use two hands to put them back on. Not enjoyable. Not recommended! I wear 11.5 NOT 12. I can't even use these as house shoes. Not a happy customer!

The ones I had before (no eyelets) were not available. In the end, after talking to customer service, I guessed at the closest model, just to wear around the house. That's good, because I would be embarrassed to wear them around town. They have a furry edge that is kind of like wearing leather fringe. When they arrived, they seemed about to fall apart. The seams are coming apart. I guess the old ones were natural, but these were dyed to look natural. Maybe the old ones were jute instead of hemp? Too many kinds of shoes. There are too many practically identical models.

If you buy these, you have to wear socks just to be comfortable. The insoles are very smooth and have no breath ability. They tend irritate the balls of my feet. The outer sole is so pronounced, you will snag them on everything. After wearing them for about 20 minutes, the toe got caught and almost tripped me. This also broke the stitching open at the toe

It took two months for the shoes to arrive and the 2nd time wearing them, the heel AND toe sole area came apart or unglued. Extremely poor quality. Tried to upload pictures but would not load.

Was so excited to get this product for my husband and then sooo saddened when it started separating from the sole in the front of the shoe on BOTH shoes. Was not expecting that after only 3 wears. Expected more from this brand

Unless you want to have the hassle of returning and having to wait for your money back because they don't size this shoe properly then by all means buy them.

They aren't even Hemp! Sticker on the shoe says wool and polyester. Very cheaply made. It's a big NOPE from me.

Very cheaply made. I thought the price was an indication of quality. Very wrong. Wouldn't pay $20 for these shoes. They aren't even made with Hemp! Sticker on the shoe says made with wool and polyester. Complete rip off. Do NOT give this company your money!!

I liked everything about these when I first tried them at home. They fit perfectly, and the foam instep is so comfortable. But when I wore them out for a walk, I didn't get more than a few yards before the back of the shoes collapsed and tucked under my heels until they looked like clogs. The material is too thin and unstructured to stay up. Too bad. I've never had this problem with Crocs. These are going back.
I'd also recommend:

This entire review is about the "kick down heel". What an awful idea. I love Sanks, but these just didn't work, for me. The show kept falling off of my foot due to the heel having no structural integrity. If you're going to make a sandal, make a sandal. If you're going to make a slide, make a slide. Trying to do both just doesn't work. I wish you would've added the soft top to the regular vagabonds.
