I love these sandals. I've always loved DM sandals, but they are often extremely heavy. These are the lightest ones I've ever worn even though they are quite significant. They are stiff at first, but if you adjust the buckles and wear them around a bit, they start to mold to your feet and feel comfortable. If you have wide feet, I don't recommend them. I have very skinny feet and ankles, and even I had to loosen the buckles a little. These are definitely not for wide feet. For the record, I DO NOT recommend sizing down. Some of the people here have included photos, and their toes are hanging off the end and ... that isn't how sandals are supposed to fit. Stay true to size. I ordered a woman's size 10—the size I generally wear—and they fit my feet perfectly with no toe overhang!

I LOVE these sandals!! They are extremely comfortable and very unique. There is certainly a lot of shoe here with a thick sole and many straps; however, they don’t feel heavy. One of the reasons I purchased these is because I am a huge Dr. Martens fan. I have two pairs of boots, one black and one purple. I can wear them all day and my feet are always happy!! Another reason I decided to try these is because of the zipper that closes the top of the shoe. I love strappy sandals, but dislike buckling all the straps. These are fantastic - one zip and you’re done. The zipper lies on a piece of leather that sits on the foot, so it’s not bothersome (it’s a large, heavy duty zipper). These are my go to sandals, even with dresses that I wear to work. I read other reviews and followed their advice, which was to purchase one size down. I normally wear a size eight, but purchased a size seven in this style. They fit perfectly. I highly recommend these sandals! Well worth the price. I wish they came in other colors (besides the white). I’d definitely purchase another pair.

I have very narrow feet and it's a problem in the widest portion of the foot bed where the D ring strap is not adjustable. All the other buckle straps can easily be adjusted to get a snug fit around the ankle. The zipper is tough but nothing a little wax couldn't ease. It felt comfortable on out of the box. So disappointed; I loved the style so much I ordered both black and white. Zappos incredible service allows me to exchange for a smaller size, which I will do as there is still plenty of room in the toe box.

Size is perfect

They are a bit narrow at the toe area, but u feel its needed so ya don't slip thru. It's touch and go breaking them in as far as the zipper on the top of the foot, particularly at the beginning of the zipper where the shoe is already tighter. They're broken in already only after half dozen half day wears. Overall I love them. They're super cool looking with everything and I get tons of compliments.

It’s a little long in the front for my foot, and I went down a size. While it is listed as medium width, I have a slightly wide foot and found these to fit well. Very comfortable once it took a few days to break in. Overall, love them!

Absolutely love these sandals, the comfort, support and fit is just incredible. My regular size is 6.5, I read the reviews and took a trip to the store that sells Dr. Martens. I tried on a different style in size 6 and it fit like a glove with plenty of room in the front, they are about half a size bigger on me. Already ordered a pair in white.

Absolutely amazing sandals. Martens can be heavy and uncomfortable in a beginning. Usually you have to break them in. But this one was soft, light and super comfy from the start. I’m so happy, I ordered another pair in white also.

These are A M A Z I N G. I actually didn't buy them from Zappos, I bought them from another retailer because Zappos was out of stock and paid way more. Of course, now they're back in stock at Zappos, haha... but I don't mind that I paid over retail because they're that good. Perfect height. Lightweight. Adjustable heel strap for us narrow-heeled folks. Zip makes it easy for households that don't allow shoes indoors. The front half of the shoe is pretty tight (that's why I deducted a star), so i'm wearing them around the house until it stretches out a little bit.

I normally wear an 8 1/2 or 9 but I ordered these sandals in a size 8 and they fit perfectly.

I normally wear a size 10 and I ordered a size 10. The size was fine. I have yet to wear the sandals because it's still relatively cold in the Midwest. Sandals seemed pretty comfortable when I tries them on in my kitchen but I haven't done any serious walking in them.

I love these DM's! They were sold out everywhere and Zappos had the last pair! Scored! They do run a little big, but do not come in half sizes. If you have short toes definitely size down. I will wear these every summer for years!!!

I’m a 9.5-10 so never quite sure where I’ll fall with the Dr Martens. In this sandal the 9 is perfect. No toe or heel hanging off the edge. Rugged sole but crazy light weight compared to boots of similar height. Will be the perfect summer sandal.

I went ahead and gave these 5 stars because I had to return them due to my error. Based on some of the other reviews, I sized down one size and they are to small. I recommend going with your true size. They are super cute and would have been comfortable if they fit. They are pretty edgy and definitely not delicate.

I always order a size down when getting Dr Martens sandals. This fit perfectly, and the style is so cute, sexy, and easy to put on/off. I absolutely love them.

I wanted to love these so much! I love everything about them but they rub the top of my foot. I tried adjusting them every which way (lots of buckles to adjust) and couldn't make it happen. I even ordered 2 pair hoping the second one would be a little different with no luck. I'm afraid I would have to wear them around the house for weeks with socks on to see if they would get better, but I know I wouldn't put the time into doing that. I wanted them for a weekend long festival this summer and I would end up with blisters for sure!

Still trying to make up my mind on these. The right sandal feels great, but the left feels too tight. Going to order a second pair to see if I have the same problem. Good arch support. Comfortable sole. Probably going to rub in a few places if I keep them, so I will definitely need to break them in.

These are fine but the toe bed is shaped wrong for my foot.

While I did return this item, I really liked the style and with all the buckles being usable you really have the ability to customize the fit. I have narrow feet and ankles and most sandals are not usually tight enough - I did not have that issue with these and vis versa you can widen the ankle and heel area for wider feet - you may have an issue with the toe bed and it see narrow and some one with wifer feet you pinky might be off the edge.

looked really cool but the zipper was super stiff/hard to use and they just felt so sharp and pinch-y on my feet that I knew I'd never wear them.

I absolutely love the look of this shoe and the quality - the shoes are well made/sturdy but not too heavy. Unfortunately, these did not work for my flat feet and I had to return them; the shoes were narrower than I expected and the arch of my foot fell over the inside of the sole. I’d buy them again in a wide size if that were available.

I wanted to like these but didn't. The leather was kind of stiff, and the shoe was not flexible enough to be comfortable for a lot of walking.
