Asics has had a few versions of this shoe, landing perfectly here with a canvas upper. I love this shoe and am hoping against hope that they maintain its availability—it has replaced my adored canvas black on white Old Skool Vans, which died a few years ago in the product line... Much to my sadness. My pain with sizing occurred when the synthetic/vinyl version of this Asics shoe was around on Zappos and discovered that it runs a full size smaller than Vans or any other shoe I've worn recently... After being disappointed with the sizing of the vinyl version of the Classic CT—which I have worn for almost a year as a cycling shoe in the rain—I rolled the dice and purchased this canvas version at a full size smaller than I would have my lifelong-known Vans: And they fit perfectly. They fit so well and I love them so much that I went back and bought another two pairs to have in reserve... Being that Vans killed the all-canvas black/white Old Skool and all: One must think of the future when one finds a shoe they love—and thusly I hope to not be without the canvas Asics Classic CT for a few years to come :)
