Usually wear a 38. Recommendations said order a 39 which was too big. Ordered the 38 and that fit well. There as two Velcro adjusters which work to get best fit and comfort, which is nice. Happy with them!

These are wonderfully comfortable! It's about time Brikenstock made a slide that was supportive and cute. There is a nice buttery leather available on the Birkenstock website (out of stock) that I wish Zappos would carry. More light colors please!!

This is my first pair of Birkies, and I love them. The broad wrap band is so comfortable and doesn’t pinch or restrict at all.

2nd pair, different color. Love the modern look to an old classic. Highly recommend.

I loved the convenience of the velcro, so I could adjust them for whether or not I had socks on. However, there was a spot on my right foot at the base of my little toe where there was some rubbing. I was afraid I might have problems later so I returned them. I also missed the softer footbed of the other pair of Birkenstock sandals that I tried on.

Solid (maybe too solid), supportive sandal. If the upper was trimmed back a bit or if the upper was a more summer weight composition and/or color, it would be more appealing. One could blame it on too many years in the north, but for me, this style was a little too wintry for summer wear. If it was a vibrant tone or stripe in a high quality stretch fabric with a slimmer nubuck closure, it would be a dream shoe.

My regular size fit great and the width is adjustable with two different straps. I love the support Birkenstocks give for my plantar fasciitis. They are my everyday wear around the house shoes.

They r still a little stiff, but the overall look is super cute! I always wear Birkenstocks, so I know they will loosen up!!

I think this version of the Kyoto would be fine for most people with a medium width foot, but as I think another reviewer noted, if you have a slender foot, the adjustment is just barely adequate. I was able to snug the straps to my foot, but my concern was that with regular use, the leather would stretch and I'd have no further ability to go smaller. Also, the velcro patches for the main flap are pretty tiny so again, if you need to do the maximum wrap, the velcro patches just barely meet. I have (and love) the shearling Kyoto (now discontinued) and the fit is much better for my narrow foot. Also, the velcro patch is nice and big so there is greater potential for adjustment. I confess I was expecting the same construction on these, so that increased my lack of love. On the plus side, kudos to Zappos excellent customer service! These arrived quickly and the return was easy. Back to the drawing board!

I LOVE THIS SANDAL, BUT ONLY IN THE SUEDE. THIS ONE IS VERY HARD, AND IT RUNS NARROW. DOES RUN TRUE TO SIZE. I WANT IT IN THE WIDE AND AM HAVING A HARD TIME FINDING WIDE AND SUEDE. I WILL KEEP TRYING.

The concept is a good one. I like the style. The execution however is wanting. There needs to be a more secure mechanism to secure these to one's feet. suede cloth is meant to be loose but the velcro band on top doesn't really do the trick.

Long time Birk wearer. These are very cute and offer much better top support than the strap style sandals. They truly hug your foot. However, what I did not like about them was the very top strap protruded out from the side of the shoe. There was not sufficient Velcro to hold it tightly in place next to the shoe. I just thought it looked kinda weird and untidy. I felt like it would stick out even more so after repeated wear. Sadly, I had to return them. Thank you Zappos for your very generous return policy!

Way too big!

I have two other pairs of Birkenstocks in this exact size that fit me marvelously. These were incredibly uncomfortable. I’ve never tried this style, but I’m just gonna order the normal ones are usually by.

very uncomfortable

This is the first time I've tried Birkenstock and the footbed does NOT fit my foot. The arch is too high. I was in pain the minute I put them on. I liked the looks of the shoe and the adjustability, but this footway is not for my feet.
