I buy Birkies because I have big, multi-problem feet. I don't care that they're not the prettiest shoe; they're comfortable, and, for me, that's the whole ballgame. When I finally see one with a little style, I can't wait to get the box. Alas, these shoes make me ask, WTF, Birkenstock? I bought my usual size; these feel like they're a good two sizes too small. I could barely get my feet into them. They also felt somewhat narrow; that's never been a problem for me in the "regular" width. Given that they're already too small, there's none of the much-prized (by me, anyway) Birkenstock toe room. If I thought ordering two sizes larger would help, I would order two sizes larger. I think the problems with these, though, wouldn't be fixed. I was so looking forward to these. I'm so disappointed.

Birkenstock 42 here. I have been wearing birks since my first pair in 1985. Never a problem, never a variation in size. I wore sandals, shoes, clogs. Got blue Arrans last Spring, cat peed on them- now, I cannot find them to replace. So, I ordered these- they look a little like the canvas Arran, I can overlook the 2 tone leather look bc Birks comfort is unbeatable. But, these shoes feel terrible. The arch supports feel like they are sitting so far back that they are under my heel. Ordering a different size will not fix these. WTF Birkenstock?

Great outdoor shoe. I find them very comfortable with good arch support. They fit true to size. I normally wear a 41 in other styles and this style was no different. I purchased them in the reg/wide and was surprised that I could wear a heavier sock. This shoe is heavier than the other Bends but for me that is ok. I wear them Usually in the winter trekking around and walking my dog. The sole is very durable. I did spray them with a water proof spray which helped to keep them cleaner. Love this shoe,did not disappoint.

The shoes are very comfortable. I have a relatively wide foot and regular fit is good for me. I love insole: it provides arch support and do not have toes frame ( like some sandals).

Great shoes they feel like I am stepping into my favorite Birkenstock sandals great fit and makes my foot look small for a 45 highly recommend

This Sandcastle Suede pair of the Birkenstock Bend sneaker is my 5th pair. Love the beautiful suede, but keep purchasing because of the supportive fit I get from Birkenstocks sneakers. I work part time as a retail associate on concrete floors and these get me through my work day with great support and comfort. They are also very stylish to wear with dresses, skirts, jeans, and joggers.

Great shoes with Birkenstock firm arch support and comfort. These are stiffer than traditional sneakers/tennis shoes, so don’t expect cushy foam or soft pillow cushioning. Birkenstock’s footbed helped me to recover from plantar fasciitis and I own several pairs. Happy to add this style to my collection for Fall events and errands. As suggested, I did order one size up from my normal Birkenstock size.

Good shoe with lots of support and without the sometimes annoying toe bar that Birks have. A bit pricey but that comes with Birkenstocks, which is why I usually wait for a sale.

Great shoes for people with wide feet. They are as comfortable as the sandals (Milano), but provide support for lengthy walking. These were worth the expense; I hope to buy a second pair in the future.

I love these shoes! Unfortunately, I did not keep them because I bought 3 other pairs and I was a little worried about how they would handle getting dirty. I thought they were as supportive as my Birkenstock sandals and I like the style. They're stiffer than a tennis shoe and I'm guessing that they would hold up well over time. I did order the size 41 rather than my usual size 40 and they were just wide enough for my feet to feel comfortable.

I think I’m going to love this shoe. Normally, in Birkenstock enclosed shoes, I have to go up a size. I had to return the full size larger as they were too short. I went up 2 sizes and it appears to be a perfect fit. I purchased my hiking shoe & running shoes size! ?

This shoe is actually 2 sizes smaller than what I need. I normally wear a 9-91/2 (40) in Birkenstock sandals and need a 41 in enclosed shoes. With shoe, my toes are touching the end of the shoe. I returned size 41 and have ordered size 42.

I literally ordered two sizes larger (two EU sizes), and the fit was perfect. No idea why, but I'm glad I gave it a try. I usually wear 37 in everything, but I wear 39 in these.

They look way better in person. I love them. I highly recommend. I wish they made in toddler size for my little guy.

Inside, the arch support felt very high horizontally, and not in the arch of the foot but rather, under the metatarsals. On the outside of the shoe, the toe stitching felt tight on my toes. May loosen after some breaking in. Light suede will have to be guarded from dirt and stains. But it is a very fun look at least!

I have 5 pairs of Birkies, all size 42, yet these were too large. And the foot bed felt all wrong.

The base feels good but overall the top is quite tight. I have 46 Milano that fit fine however these in 46 are too snug, the top of the inside rubbed my skin on my toes into a sore for the left shoe. And my toes reach the end of the shoe. I do have big feet though. Other than that the style and traction are great!

Sized up after my normal Birk size was too small, and still not a good fit. The normal/wide size does not fit like regular Birk sandals in terms of width. These shoes look great, but they are a little narrow for my wide feet. I guess I'll have to get a pair of Bostons instead.

Wanted to love these- I'm a huge Birk fan and was excited to try them in sneakers. Overall, they look "ok," but kind of like a nice-looking bowling shoe. I wish there was a little more design to them. Think the sizing is spot on length-wise as compared to my sandals. I have a wide foot, but these (even as a "narrow") were very wide! I would have kept these if not for the high price point. Nice quality, but the look just wasn't worth the price tag for me.

Love the suede/color of these shoes, unfortunately I did not realize they were the narrow width - really need the regular sadly had to return.

Amazing! They were comfortable right of the box. They arrived a day before I left for a trip to Europe. I brought them fingers crossed they wouldn’t need to be broken in. On Day 1, I wore them for 12 hours walking around the city. I didn’t want to take them off. I even got compliments from someone at the airport before we took off who commented on how cute they were… I had to gush about how they were Birkenstocks of all things! DO SIZE UP. I own a half dozen pairs of Birkenstock sandals all in size 42. I ordered 43 in these based on the recommendation of some of the reviews… and for some strange reason, the 43 is perfect!
