I bought this vest a couple of weeks ago - it is everything I hoped for and needed! I am typically a size large, but I feel more comfortable in an XL with this product...

I wear it more often than I plan to. The collar is just the perfect high for me (living in nordic climate). Looks great and feels great. I'm thinking about getting another one.

Quality item, well made and fits great with the elasticated sides. Very versatile - I've been wearing it for work over the top of a shirt but could easily be wearing as a base layer or running vest.

I have been searching for a vest for the last year and the Atom SL was purchased about three weeks ago. I had been looking for a replacement lightweight vest (another brand), essentially as mid-layer, to wear when the outdoor temperatures fluctuate between +8C and -8C (thereabouts). This works well for me as I often wear a long sleeve base layer with the vest, then a lightweight down hooded jacket as the outer layer. Generally it is part of my casual wear, hiking flexible wear to shed layers and on most walks with our two Labs. Overall, I am more than satisfied with the slim fit (5'-10" and 163lbs), the quality and the construction of the materials. I am confident that this will be quite durable for my almost everyday wear and the black will compliment my other garments. Thank you Arcteryx Team.

I bought this to supplement my current laying system with the hopes that it would bridge the in-between temps. It adds more warmth than expected and weighs nothing! It'sa great addition and I can't recommend it enough. I'm 6'3" 225lb and the L fits perfectly.

Love it. I own multiple Arc'teryx vests, but they all get too hot with physical exertion. This one is just the right balance of warmth, wind protection, and ventilation.

I bought this vest years ago and it is still going strong. Great piece to have in your emergency bag when you are backcountry touring, mountaineering, alpine climbing etc.

This vest is an awesome addition to your Arc'tryx collection. I bought mine several years ago, but got the size wrong. Customer service really helped out with getting an exchange in the correct size. I've used it for all kinds of activities from pickle ball to Heli-skiing in Canada. It's the perfect outer layer when wind protection is needed or just a light insulation over a shirt. It's also perfect as an underlayer for cold, wet days in any activity. It's extremely fashionable and versatile. Packs light for when you don't need it and fully functional when you do.

Got the Atom SL Vest in black for Father's Day. Immediately tried it on the golf course on a cloudy spring day (13-18 deg celsius) and moderate wind. In some holes, the sun had shone, in others it was completely cloudy. My buddies wore windbreaker jackets and they kept taking them on and off as they became either too hot or too cold. In my case, the Atom vest kept me just at the right temp. I never (repeat, never!) uncomfortable with it. And what's more is that I sometimes forgot I had it on. Its so lightweight and versatile. Amazing vest for cool golfing days, spring and fall, and maybe on some cool summer days. P.S. Order a size up if you are not slender. I typically wear a medium with most vests, but went with Large with the Atom SL, and its a perfect fit for me. I suggest you try it on at the store before purchasing.

I'm a sucker for super-light, versatile items, and the Atom SL Vest is a great throw it in the pack insulation layer. I've worn it on summer trail runs, over another puffy when ski touring and in need of a boost, and on top of a thin base layer while training in the winter. The fit is quite slim, definitely suited for athletic builds, but less slim than the Proton Vest. It packs up to about the size of a tennis ball, and definitely punches above its weight in terms of warmth.

This is my fifth Atom SL vest and the first with the changes from the first generation version. The first three were when the SL vest first came out and were made in Vietnam. The fourth was made in Bangladesh and exactly like the other three but the collar was .5 cm higher. This new Kinetic coloured vest's collar is another.5 cm higher and as other reviewers commented too high. Even with this one negative the new version has better and more durable side venting plus actual zipper pulls. The zipper pulls are much easier to open and close while I am running with my dogs. Still the perfect warmth for most of the year where I live. Highly recommended!

This is the second one I've bought and I continue to love the look of this vest. Both times have been a gift to my guy; this time in Loden, the first was in black. The vest washes incredibly well. He wears this to work and at home/ out and about. It's perfect.

I bought the Atom SL Vest in the orange/red during the fall of '20 as a warmth layer when running and biking. The bright color is eye-catching and exactly what I need when running and riding along the roads. During the winter, it has been a staple in my layering system. Even thought it is Super Light, I have used my new favorite vest as a layer when hiking and cross-country skiing in 5 to 10 degree Fahrenheit weather. It dries quickly as well either when soaked from snow or sweat. Last weekend, I wore it as a top layer on a bicycle ride that started out in the 40s. With the bright color, everyone could see me! As the day warmed up, I was able to roll this vest up and store it in my jersey pocket like a cycling gilet. To the Arc'teryx designers, great job! Perfect fit, appropriate amount of insulation, and super-lightweight. I would love to see a pocket on the lower back for cycling to stash a phone or gel. I have around 4 different vests and this one is my favorite, by far. Perfect for spring and fall (or if you live in northern New England, also good for early summer and early fall).

I love my Atom SL jacket so much and it is my go to jacket, so I had to try the Atom SL Vest. The Atom SL Vest does not disappoint and works great for layering or as outerwear over a long sleeve shirt. Just the right amount of insulation and no over-heating. Highly recommended.

Super thin and light, but warmer than it looks (good thing). Great addition for running outdoors or as moderate temperature insulation.

I bought this vest for hiking in cooler temperatures but when I tried it on, I knew I'd be wearing it all the time. Warm and and as all Arc'teryx products, the fit is spot on!

A great thin vest that helps cut the wind on cooler days when running or biking. Really packable so I like to take it in my running vest when trail running as a backup layer. Fit is nicely form fitting so it doest feel floppy.

I was thinking of whether I should get a vest for everyday cycling in the city and sometimes for hiking, and glad I finally did. I like that it is a windbreaker, but without the sleeves so I don't overheat when it is warmer. I like the little extra warmth in the core. Material has a super nice feeling, it's comfortable, sleek look. The drawcord in the hem is a good addition and the stretchy fleece side panels make it great for size accomodating, especially when wearing a fleece. DWR is the best for little precip when a waterproof is too much. It's very light and packable so I have it with me all the time. Fit is also great for my slim build as are all Arc jacket type pieces, the only downside is, size S is too short on my 60 cm body from shoulders to the hip. It hardly fits long enough over a fleece hoody and it rides up my hem easily. An inch longer would be perfect.
