Fits true to size, I wear a medium and the mediums fit great. These are perfect running shorts, supportive in all the places you need support and loose where you would expect them to be loose. My favorite running shorts, perfect size for running. No hidden pocket or waist pocket, but two side pockets suffice.

Very tight lining. I had to cut mine out and just wear underwear with them.

Never bought for running, more of a comfort wear however would work for running also, good functional shorts.
