I've worn these shorts while mowing, walking my dog and playing soccer! Comfortable for any occasions and the pockets come in handy, though they are a little shallow and my phone tends to slide out while sitting or driving. Not a big deal and overall love the shorts! The mesh "underwear" insert is nice, but if it were to bug me at any point, it wouldn't be too hard to cut it off.
