These beauties were a gift.... She loved them! Walked all over NYC... Perfect!

I tried two Sam Edelman combat styles. This and the Lue. Both have synthetic linings, which I hate but have come to accept. The Lue had a grained leather upper and seemed well-made. However, it was too chunky and heavy for my smaller frame. The Garret was perfect in silhouette and comfort. But, the quality was terrible, especially in contrast with the other SE boot. The leather was so thin and stretched. It felt like cardboard on the toe box. Additionally, the seams were misaligned and already fraying, especially around the zipper. I question how long these would last as well as the quality control of this brand. I tried the black, so maybe other colors have better materials.

I have high arches that fall flat, and these boots have been amazingly supportive. I can go on long walks and stand for long periods of time without the foot and back pain that I get with other shoes. I did have to add an insert for additional arch support, but usually that isn’t enough; with these boots, it worked.

I wore these boots to DEATH for 2 years now. I wear with blue jeans, vegan suede and leather, khaki army outfit everywhere. I get compliments here & Europe. Brought a 2nd pair in brown. Wish I brought more colors. F. Poe
