I'm an old ultrarunner with cranky overpronating feet and tendons. I tried Hoka shoes for the first time a couple of months ago. I started with Gaviotas, then went ahead and purchased Arahis and Mach 4's. Although the Arahis are stability shoes which feature the J frame support, the frame is totally defeated by the mushy heel cushion. I found my ankles rolling in severely and pain ensued. The Gaviotas are anything but. They are incredibly stable with balanced cushioning. Despite the max stack and claimed weight, I find they run light and my pace is quicker in them. They are great daily trainers and long run shoes. I was surprised that the neutral Mach 4's worked much better for me than Arahis. I use the Mach 4's as an uptempo/race shoe.

True to its description its a great blend of comfort and support. An excellent running shoe

Most comfortable shoes I have ever owned

My job requires me to stand 40+ hours a week on a concrete floor. The Hoka Gaviota 3 running shoe delivers the support and comfort needed to stand on a concrete floor for 40+ hours a week.

I have been wearing the same model of New Balance support sneakers for over 10 years. I usually go through about two a year and always have been fine with the new yearly models. We'll this past model design was very uncomfortable from day one. Upon research I decided to switch to. Hoka Gaviota 3. So glad I changed. I have been wearing these for daily 4 mile walks and they are amazing. I have no issues with pronation and the combination of support and cushion is wonderful and so much better than NB shoes. Looking forward to many years of Hoka on my feet!

Haven't had any issues with these shoes.

Solid shoe with just enough cushion and stability to get the job done. This is my second pair of the Gaviota.

I've now walked over 50 miles on urban sidewalks in these Hokas. No knee pain or back strain! I'm ready to buy a second pair to switch since my New. Balance 999's no longer feel as comfortable

Use these mainly for walking every day.

I have worn the Bondi 7 for about 3 months. The I walk my dog several times a day and have been averaging 5 to 7 miles. The Bondi is great but I notice that I overpronate a bit based on the wear. I decided to try the gaviota because it provides good cushioning like the bondi but offers support for overpronation. I have worn the gaviota for several days and really like them. The one thing that is somewhat annoying is the click of the heal. It's minor. I will continue to wear both the bondi and gaviota

Great support and comfortable if you are on your feet all day.
