I'm so grateful. I've had pain in my left foot for over ten years. This summer it got bad enough that I went to the doctor. At that time, I was diagnosed with arthritis in my left mid foot. Very little was helping with pain other than not walking or standing.
As a 45-year-old physical therapist who has completed three marathons and 6 half marathons it's been devastating to not be able to even take a 2 mile walk without debilitating pain.
I've been wearing Hokas for a couple weeks now and have been relatively pain-free even after 4 and 5 mile walks. I've even been able to do a little jogging. I'm SOLD!

Walking about 15 miles a week. Needed a shoe with greater support especially with roads and trails that have a curved drain edge. So the softer Hoka’s were problematic because my right foot would always get numb. Shoe has the support…no problems. Always put Power Step inserts in my shoes for arch support.

Where have you been all my life? After enduring a plantar plate tear (did not require surgery) I found these glorious shoes to ease back into running. Previous to the injury I was utilizing Brooks Ghost running shoes. I was running about 55 miles a week. However when I tried to continue in the Brooks after 3 months of recovery it was very uncomfortable. Then a friend recommended the Hoka One One brand and I am very thankful. The cushioning in these shoes are just what I needed and are best in class. It took a little while to get used to the extra “bounce” but was well worth the time. I have no hint of soreness or pain after a few 8 mile runs. The shoes are also very light, especially for their size. The only downsides are the designs and bulky look. They are not horrible looking but also do not have a very pleasant aesthetic. I highly recommend these shoes for anyone with foot or knee pain.

I have almost flat feet and very low arches. Always had issues finding the right fit that wouldn’t make my feet hurt. These shoes are the solution to all those problems. Best sneaker I have ever owned. Took them out for a few runs and no issues and was able to run for longer. The fit is great and they are ultra light.

I have 3 versions of Hokas - Arahi 5, Bondi 7, and Clifton 8 - 2 pairs of each. I find the Arahi to be the best all around shoe. Enough cushioning to be very comfortable for vigorous activity but not so much that you feel awkward in casual all day activities. The Bondis are incomparable for vigorous activities. But the massive cushioning is not needed for casual activity but I do use them in that regard. The Cliftons are in between and I ordered both pair in the Together color - Hoka, offer that color in your other shoes, it's a solid winner. For the first time ever I got compliments from 2 guys on my shoes. The Cliftons don't fit me quite as well as the Arahis, the J frame does seem to align my feet making my stance feel more balanced, maybe it's the placebo effect.. These shoes will always be in my future. I rate them as Feels Too Narrow in the standard width but perfect in wide 2EE.
