These shoes are so comfy. When I run I feel like I flying.

I am always reluctant to buy shoes online without trying them on but I used the shoe-finder feature and ended up with a really good shoe for me.

I'm 6' 1" and slightly over 200#. These shoes are great and the bottoms are not wearing away too fast.

I'm comparing these to my Bondi 7s which I love and use for my daily exercise walks. The Bondis are massively cushioned, I only wish I had them available when I was working in my hospital, retired now. I thought for more all around daily wear, less vigorous than a run or exercise walk, something with a little less height and cushion might be a good choice. That led me to a great local running shoe store, Feet First in Columbia Maryland. They suggested the Arahi 5. I've now had the opportunity to try various Hoka shoes and although I have a medium width foot whether measuring with a tape measure or one of those Brannock devices in the shoe stores, the standard width versions have been too cramped for me. So I've chosen wides both in the Bondi and now the Arahi and that has worked out extremely well. If you have a narrow, low volume foot the standard width should be fine but if you have a medium to wide foot I strongly recommend just starting with a 2EE. The Arahi puts you a little closer to the ground but still has a wonderful amount of cushioning. I'm not a runner but for vigorous walking both the Arahi and Bondi are great choices, you'll just bounce more in the Bondis. For general all day wear while shopping, running errands, going to appointments, etc. I think the Arahis are a fantastic choice. I wouldn't hesitate to use the Bondis for those purposes but I'd be doing more bouncing. Regarding ordering from Hoka, I wasn't familiar with them at all prior to a couple months ago but I did order a pair of Clifton 8s, standard width, too narrow for me. They arrived the very next day! I did send them back, Hoka makes this easy, and they refunded the purchase almost immediately. Now that I have more experience with their sizing and different models I'll likely order from them again, very soon possibly - I'm waiting for more feedback on the new Ora 2 recovery shoe, I'm looking for a comfortable lighter weight slip on with typical Hoka cushioning.

I run 5 miles everyday and this is the most comfortable shoe I have ever had right out of the box. Love it!!

With a large, wide foot, it is hard to find shoes, especially athletic shoes in colors other than black, white or grey. These shoes are a great shade of blue, fit well and are extremely comfortable. Only comment is add other shoes with colors.
