Although these shoes look “other wordly” I have nothing but good things to say about their comfort and performance. I’ve been worn Hoka Bondi’s for years and they changed my life (since I suffer from healspurs). The comfort level of these Hoka hiking boots definitely didn’t disappoint. I most recently hiked 6 miles and my feet felt unaffected by the distance. Additionally, this was the first time EVER that I didn’t get blisters or feel like my toes were being pinched. It’s business as usual for me to wrap each toe in duct tape and wear toe socks followed by a 2nd pair of socks. Next time I may live dangerously and NOT wrap my toes! Very pleased with these boots.

the size and fit were ok Roomie toe box. I have narrow heels - I could tighten laces enough to have a good fit. For heavy hiking ( rocks) good but not excellent lateral ankle support ( material is stiff-soft,not as stiff as a leather hiking boot. Loved hiking in them ( and no my heel didn't get caught/did not trip up on the wide heel . REally liked them BUT 4 months into LIGHT use - the sole tread started disconnecting ( becoming unglued ) . For the price they need to hold up for at least a year in my book . Shocked to see the tread separating ( unglued from ) the sole so soon , after maybe 5-6 day long hikes ! returning and contemplating - if I order a new pair, will they just start following apart 3-4 months into it, or was this a poorly glued shoe to begin with ? Don't know - but dissappointing for a HOKA - I love their tennisshoes/walking shoes and these boots - SO cushy for my old feet even after 10 hours hiking!

I chose the size I normally choose for athletic shoes, even though Zappos encouraged me to go up 1/2 size larger. I tried the larger size too, but didn't need it. Feels like this shoe keeps my ankle from rolling. Happy with purchase. Love Hoka support and cushiony soles.

Super comfortable, and feels very stable! It was a little too tight for me in the width, so I need to return, but if this hiking boot were available in wide, I would have bought it. The comfort and stability is worth the price.

These are perfect for hiking; really comfy shoes!

Wow! It’s like a supportive cloud engulfing my entire foot, the arch support is beyond words. With this amazing, yet not restraining, support around my ankles. They’re pure heaven.

I absolutely love these boots! My tried and true boots just do not hold up like they used to and I had always loved Hoka sneakers at home and work. I thought I would give it a shot and see how the boots fit. They are great!! Not only did they fit as well as my sneakers do, but they keep me from rolling my ankles. My knees are not sore if i add an extra mile to the hike, also, they keep me from falling in the mud.

I love these hiking boots! I went hiking the day after I received them. The conditions were challenging - steep hills sometimes covered in ice, snow, mud, leaves on tree roots, fording icy streams etc. I was not wearing crampons like some of my fellow hikers, but with these boots I did not need them. The wide sole really kept me steady and safe. The boots gave great support and kept my feet dry. They look kinda funny but who cares?? More than what I wanted to pay....

Very comfortable. Pricey, but worth the money if you have feet problems.

These boots fit wonderfully and I love the color. Unfortunately I am not the most coordinated hiker and the extension heel was an issue. Sliding down through brambles or anything involving the potential of the heels getting hooked up on trails overgrown with brush just wasn’t fun. Engineering gear like this is a process and I love Hoka for what they do for my arthritis and Lupus…I will always choose boots from them but these will be going back.

I absolutely love these boots! They have brought such wonderful change to my hikes. My feet are no longer sore and i haven't rolled my ankles once since I started wearing them.
