Love this new style and the new type of grippy outsole. I am hoping it last longer than the orginals!

Been wearing Birks for decades now. Love the styles with two straps the best - Tahiti, Salina, Sydney. Arizona is okay on my foot but not as great as the previous three styles mention. When I saw these in such a great, neutral color and in my width (R), I ordered them. Was excited to get them. Sadly, I was very disappointed. Never got to the stage of finding out if the soles squeaked on the floor. The upper leather was much too stiff so back in the box they go. Returning. Birkenstock can do better.

I just need a bit more arch support on my right foot. Other than that they were perfect.

I bought these sandals for my teenage daughter to try and initiate her into what she refers to as the "cult" of Birkenstocks. Her feet are narrow, so she hasn't liked other styles. These fit her well width-wise, and were more feminine and cuter than others, but she claimed that the toe bump on the foot bed hit the bottom of her foot in an awkward location that felt uncomfortable. It could be that she's simply not familiar with the way Birkenstocks feel, but she was insistent that they weren't right for her feet and that it wasn't a problem that would go away after a breaking in period.

AS others have noted, these shoes are stiff and are noisy on any smooth surface. For this reason, I returned them. I think the stiffness would probably have worked itself out as the sandals were broken in, but I just couldn’t get past the noise.

Wish I had read the reviews before ordering. I love narrow Birks and these almost made the cut. What I couldn't get over was how noisy the soles are! They squeak loudly on anything other than carpet. With time and wear that may go away, but with them also being too wide I just didn't want to take the chance because they are not cheap.

on the inside of one sandal there was exposed stitching where the leather attaches to the bottom. Stitching was very scratchy and irritating. Aside from that, I just didn't like the feel - too stiff. First time I have tried Birkinstocks, maybe over time I would get used to them.

I am determined to break these in, but they’re painful. I’ve worn out the outer sole of other Birkenstock’s so I was very excited to see these. I like the style, and they are great quality. But, the material is super stiff and rough. Plus, I need in between holes in the straps, so either I have super stiff rough straps that are too tight or too loose and rub, which led to some mighty painful blisters. If they line up perfectly for your feet it might not be as much of an issue. I’ve worn them a few time’s on short walks, but I think I’ll start wearing them around the house with socks to hopefully break them in without née blisters. I really want them to work, first they were pricey and also they are so durable and I like the style.

I have been purchasing Birkenstocks for many years. These are larger than any size 40 I have ever purchased.

Very nice looking sandals, they sound very practical,leather strong materials + the walking soles. But!! They are unisex fitting and they just fits not right. I'm female with wide feets,not extremely wide. Im 5.5 in birkenstock so i bought size 5.5 in this one and size 5 too to compare. The 5.5 was very big and wide and my feets was sliding around, and the size 5 just too small!!!?? I tried a narrow fit in size 5.5 and they was good in length but just too narrow and my small toes was too tight..i never had a problems with Arizona model or sierra they always fits right. But this one just dont fit right.any way.the dark sands is 5.5 narrow fit ,and the light one 5.5 regular. Is a shame because they look so nice and stylish. I spent on returns lots off money and i believe all the unisex sandals just fits the same.

very large and arch support fell in the wrong spot. felt more like a man's shoe.

These birkies just felt...weird. I already have (three!) pairs of Birkenstock Bilbaos which I love and wear constantly. I have striped feet I wear them so much. They look like Arizonas but have the same flexible sole as these Sierras which is just so great...as I've got older, 'normal' birkies just feel like I have rigid planks strapped to my feet and aren't comfortable. Soft footbed birkies don't do it for me either, because they seem to make my feet feel extra hot and when your feet get hot, they swell, and there just isn't room in the footbed for my foot so they get uncomfortable too. I felt like I couldn't get my foot to sit in the right place in these Sierras, and the tough leather felt like it would rip my skin to shreds (Bilbaos are made of birkoflor). I return them regretfully, because I'm soooo bored of my Bilbaos and long for a comfortable, tough pair of breathable sandals. I might try the Saharas, but they seem very expensive for a plastic soled synthetic shoe. I wish they had the Velcro straps and proper leather footbed...

Birkenstocks with rugged soles that have better grip?! Yes, please! Really love these sandals and wish they were easier to find. Supportive, as they are still Birks in design and the cork is still present - just a better sole.

Loved the look of these online and especially liked the color but deciding between these and another pair of Birkenstock stocks and decided to return due to Fit.

Wish they were making this shoe in NAVY blue. Love the look and comfort.

I have this shoe also in the black. Love these shoes. They are so comfortable. I have a high instep and I have had no problems with the way these shoes fit.

Birks are great shoes. This pair will need a little break in time. Leather is stiff.
