The pink Gizeh are so cute! The fit exactly like my well-loved older silver ones with the smaller buckle. HOWEVER, on the first really warm day that I wore them (aka sweaty feet) the pink dye ran all over the soles of my feet. I like them so much that I’m keeping them in hopes that the bleeding dye will stop.

These are narrower and shorter than my other gizeh I have. Plus the quality is poor mine came with few flaws. I normally used 37 and ordered a 38 this time and it was smaller than my 37. Love gizehs I have 6 pairs but this one is going back.

First time ever I’ve had a Birkenstock not feel comfortable. The inside of the shoe had hot glue like material rubbing against my arch. The toe area had a dirty sticker area, it came that way as if something had already been removed prior, I’m not sure. For $130+ price tag, I expect more! Returning these.

These Gizeh sandals are stunning in the Cognac leather! The main strap is a little wider than it is on the regular buckle style, and with the larger gold-tone buckles and gold button on the toe post it really elevates the look to be dressy enough to wear beyond casual. Love the toned liner and - at least while I'm breaking in during the winter - it is every bit as comfortable as the suede and doesn't feel slippery. Sizing was a slight surprise: I wear a 41R in Mayari Birkflor and 42N in Arizona leather - I figured I'd be a 41 in these too, but turns out with the Gizeh in Leather I'd do best with a 41.5... which doesn't exist lol. The 41 felt really comfy in the footbed but my toe hit the front ridge so I'm keeping the 42s. Hoping break-in fixes the slight anomalies of the different size to usual Birk comfort, because these really are gorgeous!!!

As you can see there is a divit in the cork and the suede. I ordered these specifically for my trip to San Diego to see my grandson in the navy. They came today. We go tomorrow. I’m going to wear them but I think a bit of a reduced price should happen because that divit will cause that area of the shoe to break down faster. What do you think ?

These are my favorite Birkenstocks thus far (I own Mayaris and Arizonas, for reference). I love the big buckle and smooth bottoms (I got the oiled black leather style). My only concern was the silicone that goes between the toes but it actually doesn’t bother me as I expected. Feel like these fit true to “birkenstock size,” which is that they tend to fit on the larger size. I am a true 9 in most sneakers/boots but the 39 (8-8.5) size in Birks fit perfectly.

After a longer than usual shipping time (expected), received Birks that were not up to usual standards. While I don’t mind an aged look, one sandal was definitely scratched in a way that’s unacceptable for a brand new pair. Also, the big buckle - the main design feature - looked cheap. The prong sounded tinny/plastic-y. Same for the hardware on the thong - it looked brassy like a bad dye job, not the actual metal. So disappointed as I had high hopes for these.

I loved the shoe, but the fit was to short and to narrow. In a birkenstock I always wear a 42, but because of this style I thought I would go up a size for more toe room, however it didn't work. I really hated to return and the only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because my toes rubbed the end of the shoe.

Love the look of this shoe but beware the toe divider is a hard plastic and very uncomfortable. I put some moleskin around it. Wish I would of known this, would have not ordered.

Don’t get these until they go on sale, they are absolutely not worth $160. The toe divider thing is so incredibly painful and the quality of the patent leather is so low that is cracking/warping in less than 2 months of moderate wear. I had so much trust in Birkenstock and now that’s al out the window!

These shoes were sent to me with visible signs of wear from someone else who returned them. They have dirt and some form of foot crud inside of the shoe. The soles are dirty and there are scratches all over the shoe. I’m highly disappointed because I’ve been shopping with Zappos for many years and I’ve never had an issue with any of my purchases until today. I leave for the Dominican Republic tomorrow and I wanted to take these sandals with me. I will be returning them.

The shoe had bits of glue showing on the cork and leather. I returned it.

I’m a true size 9 but after owning two pairs of Gizeh’s Over the past twenty years, I know I’m a size 39. (I got my first pair in Toronto twenty years ago, i always get the pair of the oiled tobacco leather and they usually last me about 10 years) this time I decided to replace the decade with the big buckle (still have some wear in the old girls) and these fit like a glove, no running (usual for a week) they go straight on and are so comfortable. I love the cork sole combined with the white platform bottom so you can even dress them up a little! Love them ?? Thanks Zappos!

These are fabulous but I agree with other people who say the footbed is slightly different than I'm used to in the Gizeh style. I'm sure they'll break in but they're very firm and the arch support is pretty intense right out of the box. But the toe piece is, for once, totally smooth! Very glad I added them to my collection.

Like some others commented , these fit tighter than other Birks of this style . I had to put buckle on last option and this is unusual. They also cup when you walk and make a farting sound when first wearing. These came pre worn to me and were scuffed up - unfortunately, there are no more available and I’m not quite sure what to do about this- not a cheap pair of shoes to arrive with several scuff marks :(

OWWW! The biggest problem with these shoes was the design of the thing that separates the toes. It felt like sticking a sharp rectangular stick between my toes -- and then I was supposed to walk around in them. Not a chance. Also, I wasn't excited about the color. It was a drab pink.

When these shoes arrived I was so excited. They are super cute and stylish! I have never had the Big buckle. I was kind of bummed because I saw that they had the soft foamish footbed. I don't like the ones on my water Birks but these are different. the material looks similar but it's not the same cheap material they use on the Gizeh water shoes. This is a better quality and oh, so very comfortable. I had a small piece on the leather strap that was a bit dented, but I decided to keep them anyway. It's not something that's noticeable unless you are looking for flaws. Which I don't want to do, I just want to wear them and enjoy them. And I do enjoy wearing them. I have 5 pairs of Gizeh Birks and love them all, but these take the cake. I'm a 8 1/2 and got a 39. I will say I maybe could have done the 38 because I'm at the tightest it can go and I still have some room. My feet are usually always swelling and it's not been an issue in these, due to the room on the top where the strap is.

Fits well, no break in period. The silicone toe divider is soft and doesn’t hurt or cause redness. I have wide feet and these are slightly too narrow, but I don’t notice at all. The arch support is amazing, as I have high arches and need good support.

I love this shoe. I bought 2 pair. Last year I bought some wet use ones so they would not get wrecked in the water. I lost one of the old ones between the parking lot and my room. Hotel says they didn’t find it. So I put on one of my new ones. I had read the toe straps were uncomfortable but since my old pair felt fine I figure they would loosen up. I finally quit wearing them when both had left blisters between the big and second toe after 3 days. I am returning the unused fushia ones and will talk with someone about the yellow ones. The toe divider is plastic and is very uncomfortable.

This shoe is true to size and is extremely comfortable. I love the look of the large buckle.

I would love to have several pairs of Gizeh in the big- buckle style. However, unless you have a very high arch or a chubby foot, the strap across the instep will be too long. If you punch another hole in the strap and put the buckle in that hole, you will pull the T-strap off-center. Finally, I think the high-shine black leather looks like plastic, not leather.

Honestly my most comfy Bitkenstocks ever. Something about the wider straps and the smooth footbed. Amazing!!

the size fit great, they are really comfortable and I Love the color. The more you wear them the more they get comfortable, the form to your feet in a way.
