Had a pair of the original in orange and loved them, put many many miles on them and wore the bottoms off! Ordered the new SL 2 but didn't like the new lace up system therefore I returned them and purchased a pair of the original Norvan SL from the outlet. I do like the Norvan SL 2 just not as much as the Norvan SL!

Super narrow. Really wanted to like them. I have medium-wide feet. Trying to find a replacement for my Merrell trail gloves.

I bought this shoe about a month ago, at the first glance, it is so light and elegant, but the fit is so tight on the sides. I usually use size 9, I had to exchange the first pair with 9.5. Unfortunately, I took the shoe to a trip and after an hour walk, it hurt my fingers and caused shoe blister, I had to buy a new pair of shoes on my vacation.

I want to love these shoes. They tick all of the boxes for a phenomenal trail runner, but like several other people who have reviewed these, the choice of fabric for the upper has created an unwearable shoe. The fabric in question is a hard plastic type of super fine mesh, this allows the shoe to be incredibly light, however a crease forms over the knuckle of the 1st metatarsal, and results in excruciating pain. Unfortunately this problem isn't at all obvious when simply standing/walking in the shoes. It wasn't until I actually got them onto the trail and ran in them that the issue made itself known. Of course, at this point, the shoes were no longer eligible for a return. I now have a gorgeous pair of ultralight trail runners that are absolutely unwearable and just taking up space on my shelf. For some more context, I own the LD3, which is one of the best running shoes I've ever worn, as well as the Acrux AR LT and TR, all of which are fantastic boots. I'm deeply disappointed in the SL 2, and it's unfortunate that it's impossible to return running shoes that only cause problems after they've been used to go running. Buyer beware, the SL 2 may not be for you.

The shoe is the norvan with the cushion and sole removed, without compensating for the additional space that's created by removing all the padding in the shoe it's naturally going to be too big. They have done this with other model shoes as well. The heel is also unnaturally deep and the ankle is unsecured, both of which make the shoe feel very unstable. I like the look of the shoe but that's it. I tried adding heel inserts also just a standard shoe sole, neither worked. I've purchased several Arc'teryx products including shoes, and overall I believe the quality control, research and development, and design departments of their shoes does not even come close to the high standards of their other departments.

I received this a couple weeks ago and it started to tear after a week or light use. The stitching is falling apart. Very disappointed in the durability of the product.
