This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and now I understand why people love them. I ordered this style and a Florida soft footbed style to try because I was looking for something a little more stylish than the Arizona and I wasn't sure if the regular footbed would feel comfortable enough for me. I usually need softer soled shoes but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the standard Birkenstock footbed was quite comfortable. I'm going to be ordering more Birkenstocks just as soon as the styles I want are back in stock. :)

I order narrow and should not have, but I love the straps on the Franca, and the subtle olive color is a great neutral. I’ll make the narrow work!

Fit was standard Birkenstock’s fit. Love the neutral color because it goes with just about everything. Very comfortable for walking. Bought another pair of Birkenstock’s since this one was so comfortable in another color for summer.

These fit really well I usually wear a size 7 I bought the 38 they were a Whole size to big ...I love the colour ... I got the green oiled leather exchanged them for the 37 ... love

Love Birkenstock’s. These sandals did not disappoint. Great neutral color, great support, and comfortable for all day wear.

I love these! The color is true to the picture (ordered lavender) and I like the rugged/worn-in look. Feel great and fit better than other Birkenstock styles.

Loved this Birkie, however the narrow was too narrow for my foot. Style is great and color was sit and muted.

Absolutely love these sandals. I have worn Birkenstock’s for years. This is the first pair in this style for me. They did not disappoint !

Love the new birks, they are always a bit hard to break in but these have a nice fit and the color is awesome.

I liked this pair of shoes but I didn’t like the color the shoes didn’t match so I returned them and ordered a different color.

They were cute but felt 1/2 size smaller than my other Birks.

I have always found Birkenstock sizing tricky, and fit is critical because of the molded footbed. When you get the right fit, the footbed feels custom made to your foot. Because of the design of the shoe, the arch supports and toe grip need to be in the right place or the shoe is never going to be comfortable. The smallest european size I can wear in any other shoe is a 39, and I am usually at least a 40. Dansko sandals, for example fit reliably in a 39, although I sometimes need a 40 in a closed toe style. I need a 40 in a Taos sandal. In american sizes I usually need a 9 in sandals, and I usually need a 10 in a boot (with room for socks). I knew the size chart was going to be off, so I ordered these in a 39. The footbed was, slightly but uncomfortably, too long. My arches were not in the right place and the toe grip did not fit right. They also felt very narrow - my toes could feel the edge of the shoe, which is not how Birks are supposed to fit. A 38 regular might have fit, but these do not come in regular width in the oiled lavender (and the color was my main reason for trying them in the first place) so they had to go back. However, I did really like the way the shoe looked, and I could see how it would be very comfortable if you could get the right fit. I tried again, with a Mayari style in a 38 regular, and my feet could not be happier.

I normally wear a 9.5N and my feet are also low-volume. Initially, I ordered the suggested size of 40 (9-9.5), but my toes touched the edge of the footbed that curves upward. I traded them for size 41 (10-10.5) which fit perfectly. The arch support is excellent and the footbed is very comfortable. The strap closest to my ankle feels a bit restrictive, but if I loosen them, there won't be any ankle/mid-foot support. It will take some getting-used-to, as will the bottoms of the shoes, which don't roll with the natural motion of the foot, but remain rigid and flat. The style is ok--not exactly attractive or flattering. I've wondered about Birkenstocks for years, so these are an experiment.

These shoes feel amazing and the style is actually really cute for this type of sandal. I had to return them, though, because the description said jade, but these were pure brown. There was no green or jade coloring about them at all.

Birkenstock narrows are not a true narrow. The footbed is too wide and the sandal is just not narrow enough for my feet.

I would really love these Franca Jade Birk's had they not arrived with scratches and discolorations all over the leather uppers.
