I have tall Hunter boots that I wear 2 sizes down, based on other reviews I ordered these 1 size down from my norm but they were too small. I ended up keeping this is my normal shoe size which surprised me a lot! I do not think they fit like other Hunter boots. They are however comfortable like my others; they do have low height in the foot and are narrow but that wasn't a problem for me. I think these look best with some socks scrunched up coming out of the boot!

I wear between a size 7.5-8. I ordered these in a size 8. They're not too clunky to drive in for moderate distances. There is enough room to wear thicker socks if you need to. I like that they have a pull tab at the heel so that they are easier to put on.

I love the look and style of these but could see into the boot when looking down, which meant that rain would easily get in there, too. Bummer.

I was not sure to order it or not for a whole week. And set my mind . And order it on Thursday and the shipment is from Kentucky and it’s here on Friday in California. Normal shoe size for me is 7.5. So I went for a 8. A little loose is better than too tight. The look is eye appealing.

These fit exactly as advertised. They run a bit big, so you could probably order a size down. I usually have to order Wide shoes/boots but these fit perfectly. They do have some arch support which is great. The boot, itself is a bit on the heavy side, so you do feel it after walking around in them for a while, but they are still comfortable. I like that they are short so I can slip them on quickly to take the dog out.

These run just like regular Hunter Original boots so if you happen to have those already, these are true to that size. If you don't have them, then know that you should order down from your regular shoe size as these run a little long. I'm a solid 8.5 and own these in an 8 and they fit perfect. They are VERY wide at the top of the boot though so be warned that rain and all sorts of other things will likely go down into your boot. I bought them for gardening so I really don't mind that but definitely will not wear these outside when it's raining. Bought this style for the flat bottom as I often climb up a small step ladder to get to some of my taller plants and a heel on a ladder is not very stable. I originally ordered the Chelsea boot from Hunter but sent them back because they run short and I found that the inside of the sides of the boot where the elastic gore is was really uncomfortable. These work just fine and definitely recommend!!

They were recommended to size down but were way too small,had to send back and the color seemed more pink than red.

I know some folks said to order a size down, but since they don’t have half sizes, I purchased an 8 and they fit more like an 8 1/2. No worries if you like adding thick socks however! My only worry is that the ankle is a little wide, so I’m worried about rolling mine due to the wedge of the heel. But we’ll see how it works out.

I love these boots and as other reviewers said, they do run a bit large (I love it as I can wear extra thick socks with them). Unfortunately, the first pair I bought, the pull tab on the back pulled off. The tabs are cute but not attached deep enough into the boot in my opinion. Hunter has great customer service/warranty and replaced my first pair...I’ve had the replacement pair for just over a month and the pull tab came pulled off again. I’m not very strong either!! The boots are cute and comfortable but beware of the pull tab! Otherwise, I’d recommend!!

Super practical and love the style (I’m pretty short, so love that there is a tiny bit of wedge built in). I got the red ones - a little brighter with a tad of pink, which I wasn’t totally expecting, but I actually really!ended up liking the color. They’ll be great for Spring puddles!

Love these! They’re so cute and really comfortable. Easy to get on & off. I have wide calves/ankles and kinda wide feet (I’m plus size :) and my regular size 10 fit great with room in the toe box for thicker socks in cold weather. If you don’t have wide feet, definitely size down at least half a size.

Hunter boots are my go-to for rain and snow. I wanted the short, glossy style, which is more stylish and so more appropriate for NYC, but it wasn't available in my size, and because I needed the boots right away, I opted for these. On the other hand, there's one positive over the others - - they do not have the elastic side inserts. Those tore on my other boots. The fit is very good, as I expected, but slightly narrower in the foot than my old boots, so I am not sure that I'll be able to wear my Sockwells with them. They might be warmer than the other style, so I doubt I'll want to wear them in the spring, but I'll try. My one criticism is that the style is clunky, as I knew when I ordered them, because of the no-heel sole. (But as I said, I needed boots!)

This boot was too big and heavy for me. Looked good, wish it worked for me.

I wanted a pair of short waterproof boots that I could wear outside to do barn-related chores which involve a lot of horse manure, soiled bedding, and mud. My main criterion was that they be easy to slip on and off again and even though it’s been mentioned in other reviews that these boots are NOT easy slip-ons, I decided to give them a try. Nope. Everything about them is perfect—size (I wear a 9 so that’s what I ordered), width, comfort, style—but I can’t just pop them on and off again. I ended up getting a pair of Muck boots that are perfect but not very cute so I may keep these, just because.

Overall very happy with these rain boots. Love the ankle height as high rain boots have always felt claustrophobic to me. These are high enough to keep you dry, with enough space at the tops to tuck in jeans easily. They are still a little snug on my high arches, but only really bother me if I’ve been wearing them for an extended time. They are very heavy, which makes them a little less desirable to pack in luggage. Color is what id call ‘tomato red’.

I wanted to live this boot. It was comfortable when I put it on and felt true to size. I could tell my feet would be warm in the rain and snow. However, as I started to walk with them the back of the shoe cut in to the back of my calf. Within a half hour I had to take them off to return them. I didn’t wear them with the Hunter socks, so maybe that could have made a difference.

Love these boots! I got them today and I havent taken them off. I have tried various brands and boot heights and these are the winner by far. I ordered my normal size ( I know some ordered down a 1/2) and they fit perfectly. I have enough room for a big pair of socks on those colder, wet days. My only complaint is that I wish there was a bit of a liner in them but hopefuly heavy socks will do the trick.

These are very stylish, got lots of compliments. It is even more comfy with the hunter socks. Kept it on all day st work, and they were so comfy just like wearing a regular flat. Will be purchasing in black.

These Hunter's are really cute - I'm loving the "shortness" of them because it makes them so easy to get on and off (though you still need to sit down to do so - they do not slip on/off like traditional work boots). I wear a size 7 and got them in that size. Originally thought they were too small but they actually fit nicely with a little bit of wiggle room just enough for a thick-er sock. I've found them uncomfortable to wear without socks because they rub my ankles raw and slip with each step, having a sock on stabilizes the boots for me and protects my ankles. They are heavy! Was tramping around the muddy yard playing with the goats after a rainy morning when we decided to get lunch out, I didn't change out of my boots and walking around in town with them for a while took alot of energy. Overall am loving them for the intended use of tromping around our yard after rains.

Absolutely love the way the boot looks, it was comfortable right our of the box. The front is roomy which I like since I have a wide foot. I am a size 7 and purchased a 7.

I bought these in my usual size (9) and they were very big. I would think that an 8 would be a perfect fit, but although cute, these boots look very bulky and large, especially in the light color. They're not the boots for me.

I wanted to like these but all I could think was how much my feet looked like Ronald McDonalds so I had to send them back.

Too big

I usually wear a size 7 and a half but I sized down to a 7 and it was perfect. I am in love with the color and the comfort of the boots. HOWEVER, I ordered these boots August 21st, it hasn't been a full 6 months and the left boot is starting to tear?? it sucks because I've only worn them like 6 times, and the boots are breaking on me.

This is an average review on 2 pairs of the same boot in different colors. Got Electric Storm on sale. Wore them with and without socks, very comfortable. Loved them so much that ordered another pair in kombu/navy at full price. Wore these once with socks and pants. These cut into my calfs to the point of bleeding. I tried to stuff pants inside and put paper towels in but the boots pushed everything out when walking and resulted cutting into my bare legs. I will be returning them. Defective pair? Will just stay with the 1st pair. So 5 stars for the 1st pair and 0 stars for the 2nd.
