It runs a little small. I kept the XL. I typically wear size 12 on top as I am a swimmer with broad shoulders. I really like the hoodie. Its extremely well made and holds promise to last for many years. It is exactly what I have been looking for in terms of environmentally considerate product, well made, practical and has a great hood. I look forward to wearing on hikes and layering with it although it is a heavy cotton and may not need much layering.
