I found the fit to be just right and I think they are true to size. These are my second pair of Salewa boots, the first pair is still going strong after over 8 yrs and hundreds of miles, I hope these are as durable. I love the way these lace up, I find it easy to get just the fit I'm looking for. My only complaint so far is that they rub the outside my right calf, just over my ankle, creating a bit of a sensitive area after a few miles. No problem on the left side. I hope this will become better after a few more hikes. No other hot spots to report. I took them straight out of the box and used them for a 10 - 11 mile fishing excursion. They are waterproof up to the ankle.

Great boots so far. Waterproof (I’ve worn them in high, very wet grass on multiple occasions) and surprisingly comfortable in 100deg humid temps too. I usually wear a 12 in almost everything, but Salewa is always a bit different for me. I wear size 12.5 in these and they’re perfect. In other Salewa shoes I wear a 13 (Wildfire GTX). I’m a big fan of Salewa’s fit and style, though I prefer their less flashy colors. These look great and feel great too. The only downside I’ve noticed is that the laces can kind of cut into my ankle if I lace them too tight. I think this is caused by the soft tongue and the thin laces. Doesn’t change that I really like them. I just have to resist the urge to ratchet them down.

I have worn these shoes three days and absolutely amazed how comfortable they are. Usually it takes a few weeks for shoes to be broken into to feel really comfortable. Excellent product bar none.

These size 12 were 1/2 size too small. Overall I liked the boots, their construction and weight. They felt sturdy, excellent fit for hiking the Hells Canyon area which is my home. I was disappointed when Zappos charged me 50$ more for the 12 1/2 size to replace the size 12 just three days after receiving them.

Great boot, but with my natural walk the crease where my toes bend cause the upper material and the sole to separate then break due to normal stress. Not sure I would buy another pair. I had a pair of Vasque that outlasted these by quite a bit. The tear occurred about a year after buying, no Zappos warranty, and Salewa has yet to email me back.

I've had these about 3 months and already have walked out of them. Being a vibram sole you'd figure they would last longer. Having planters fascitis my feet did not hurt at all in these. Understand that I do trek 10 to 13 miles everyday in these so the fact that the soles didn't last gets a pass. The outside are starting to rip apart. I have a feeling these were meant for your weekend warrior and not for me, one who works in the wilderness seven days a week. Overall not worth the $200 + they're asking for them.
