I've purchased the Ravenna for years and do not love the new name change (to Launch). I am even more disappointed by the shoe itself. It feels less structured and less supportive overall. I can appreciate added cushioning; however, not at the cost of a secure fit. I feel like my foot is swimming in the new design, especially around my ankles. I have tried to keep an open mind and used various tying methods, but for the first time in years, I'm researching other running shoes.

Good fitting. however after 3 miles my feet really start to hurt and I get cramping at the ball of my foot. wore Ariels for a long time and loved them. These are long term painful.

Dear Brooks, I'm very sorry to disagree with you, but the Launch 8 GTS is not the "new Ravenna." After wearing my new Launch 8s around the house for several hours, I can feel that the energy return of my Launch 8s is nowhere near that of my last pair of Ravennas. The heel is oddly snug in comparison to the Ravenna; the fabric that lines the heel area has more texture now (rather than being smooth and silky/slippery as in the past) so (in combination with the odd snugness) the sides of the heel grab my socks in an uncomfortable way every time I take a step. And I wear ultrathin, microfiber socks. I'm sure I'm not alone in this, but it seems that every time I find a shoe that works it gets discontinued or modified in a way that makes it unwearable for me. (My last two pairs of Adrenalines also aren't as comfortable as in the past, so I'm wondering if the Brooks GuideRails technology is something that doesn't work with my feet.) Seriously, it just makes me want to cry.

Just not quite satisfied with my fit. In the past, I always purchased the Brooks Ravena. These just don't hold up to the Ravena fit.

The toe box on these is significantly bigger than the toe box on the Ravenna 11. I ordered the light pink and in my size, they look like clown shoes. I had ordered another pair of Ravenna 11 and will keep those.

The 9.5 (w) was too large. I did not reorder a smaller size because of the outer, toe area mesh material.

I liked the gentle stability for walking but the heel did not have enough cushion for me when jogging. I exchanged for the adrenaline which I just received. Brooks exchange/return policy is amazing; customer service is great. I understand you donate returned shoes to charities that blesses many. Thank you.

I didn't feel like there was as much support as they described. It's a great shoe for speed but already it feels worn, just because of lack of support. The color is as described, though.

Your sneakers are the only brand I wear. This particular pair doesn?t have enough heel support that I am used to in your brand.

I’ve had like 5 pairs of these bad boys. They’re usually my go to run into the ground shoe, but these feel like I’ve already put 100 miles in them out of the box—NO cushion under the forefoot. There was already pretty minimal to begin with, but what used to be there is gone. Unfortunately it’s past the 30 days so I’m stuck with them.

This is not a shoe for runners....its best fit is for fashion so pick it if you like plaid, like the springy colors.....its support is way too lacking and for a run of any distance it quickly feels like you are breaking down the interior cushioning. There are way way better shoes out there

I like the wide width but if you take out the insole there isn't much to it. It's pretty thin and does not offer much cushion. I ended up putting in a thicker gel insole with arch support.

Launch GTS 8 was very cute and comfortable but not enough support for running on paved or stony surfaces. I see these shoes as good for a short stroll in the park. Because they are so cute and comfortable I decided not to return them but look else where for a more supportive walking/running shoe.

I ordered the same size I always do in the launch. They were way too big and way too wide. Very disappointed.

The shoe is true to size and comfortable, the only thing I don't like is that the back part feels very low on my heel. It hits a lot lower than the previous models which is a really odd feeling. It almost makes my heel feel unstable in a way and that the shoe is coming off when I am running.

Runs large. Runs wide compared to Ravenna 11. Laces are short and flimsy.

I've worn Adrenaline for years. Thought this was a good alternate for support and alignment. Not sure it will measure up as there seems to be a lot of play in the shoe. Couldn't find the shoe iwithin 100 miles in the box stores so ordered on-line. Will keep but not as impressed as Adrenaline. Color is muted from photos. Still - Brooks is my only choice for quality activewear shoes.

They felt way too big for my foot. I'm a true size 8 and felt I needed a 7.5. My foot does not feel supported at all. I have always loved the launch series but these I definitely won't be buying again.

I have been running in the Ghost model and thought I'd try Launch for a change since they were on sale and much cheaper than the Ghost. Unfortunately, they feel much cheaper and less stable. I have a narrow foot and they seem really roomy and wide despite me pulling the laces super tightly. I think these are better for walking or for running less mileage.

These shoes are way more "shoe" than I'm used to (holding on to my beloved extinct Pureflows). I ran in them twice, and each time they hurt my feet. After each run while stretching, my feet started to go numb while the shoes were still on. I'm sure they work for some people, but not me unfortunately. I have to return.

Advertised as the Ravenna replacement, but it feels much less structured and supportive. Fits too low on my ankle. Short laces.
