Ordered size 10 M but the toe box was too narrow. Returned size 10M shoes and ordered a half size larger. Toe box was too narrow, again. Returned these shoes and ordered another brand.

My son really likes these shoes. They fit well and look good. However, after one month the rear sole began to separate from the shoe. He does take them off by prying them off with his other foot at this position, but this has never happened with his other Asics shoes. Easy to fix with Shoe Goo, but disappointing that it happened after only a month.

I’ve been buying and wearing only ASICS running shoes for the past 20+ years because among the brands I’ve tried they always seem to fit my feet perfectly and are incredibly comfortable. I buy the Contend or Kayano, or other lower-priced style. This time I opted for the pricier style thinking they would be even better. Boy was I wrong. Although the cushioning and support are good, the fit is terrible. VERY narrow (and I have a medium width foot, have never worn a wide shoe) and stiff. Sadly, I decided to keep them thinking they would loosen up quickly, but not so. After several months of wear they are still as uncomfortable as ever and I’m looking for a new pair of shoes. I’ll try ASICS one more time - back to the old style I used to buy - and hopefully they are not all like this now. Oh another thing, the tongue is kind of weird and the laces, instead of being standard sneaker laces, are more like thin cord dress-shoe laces. And they are too short to easily tie to the last eyelet. Very odd.

I really love these shoes. I've had 2 pairs of these and 2 pairs of the qel quantum 180 5. They all fit perfectly and very comfortable. I mainly use them work that involves alot of walking. Although this will be the last one I purchase because they all only lasted me a couple of months due to poor quality on the heals of the soles. All the pairs I've had has the same issue. I wish that Asics can improve its quality for the amount you pay for it. I don't think they were defects since all the pairs I've had has all the same problem. It's just poor quality.
