These are lightweight, fit true to size, and are flattering with the cutouts on the side. They sit slightly lower on the waist than some shorts, though they aren't low rise. There is just less room to pull them up a bit higher on my torso than some- likely due to the underwear liner inside, which I didn't realize they had and wasn't wanting in a pair of shorts. But even with the underwear liner, I still find them comfortable and am happy with them though I won't use them for ultralight backpacking due to the added underwear liner.

The shorts fit nicely. The slits on the sides give them an updated look to traditional shorts.
