I’ve always liked the combat boot style and now that it’s trendy again, thought I’d find a good pair. These are a good fit and pretty comfortable. I can wear anywhere from an 8 to an 9.5 depending on the shoe and tend to go roomier on boots. I got a 9 and they are nice and roomy, which is what I like. I think I can even fit in an insert for extra comfort at some point. Because I have pretty good sized ankles, I moved the shoestring to the next notch down, I wear them with high socks kind of scrunched around the top and I sometimes leave them unzipped—really, you can’t tell—got a compliment the other day when they were unzipped. I didn’t know about the brand Vagabond until I read a silly little fashion thing about Katie Holmes wearing Vagabond loafers. It seems like a good quality brand. Another thing I like about these is that they are not platform, which was a big part of the recent trend. I’m okay with being trendy but I will leave platforms to the younger crowd. I’m already tall and would look silly in them. So, I am very pleased with this purchase.
