Loops to hold laces broke after 2 days

My 13 year old son decided to try something different from his usual Nikes that he always wears and while he liked the style of these Adidas, they fell apart almost immediately. The laces on this style go through these string loops which once you tighten the shoes the strings break. There's no true hole to lace your laces like regular shoes so I ended up cutting the shoe liner so I could lace the shoes "properly". The bottoms are also completely wore out after 2 months which we haven't experienced with his other brand of shoes. I think we'll go back to Nikes!

As a long time Zappos customer I can honestly say these were the worst products we have ever purchased! The inner lacing (which holds the laces in place) broke day 1 with no aggressive wear whatsoever. We were on vacation and forced to keep rather than return them asap and they just continued to break apart. I read the reviews and they all matched our experience so I ask WHY DID YOU CONTINUE TO SELL THEM?

This was a replacement pair for the first pair that a shoe string loop broke. A few days later and I’ve got another broken shoe. Love the look and style but two for two tells me these are defective. Waste of time.

purchased in March and already falling apart

These shoes fell apart within days of buying them. The loops that the laces tie too broke, and without those the shoes are worthless. This wasn't one area that broke. Multiple loops broke.

Too big

After wearing these one time for a few hours the thin cords that hold the laces in place broke. Such a disappointment and poor design.

Shoe looks great, feels great, but it far from great. Described as a running shoe, but not really a running shoe. More like a walking shoe. And, like other reviewers, within a week, the eyelet broke. Zappos is great, but this shoe is not.

Had the same issue as others who have posted on this product: The strings that keep the laces in check, several of them broke after wearing the shoe only a couple of times. This is highly disappointing, as the shoes are very comfortable and attractive. I expect better quality control from Adidas! I've owned Adidas previously and, until now, have had great success with this brand. What's up Adidas????!!!!

The fit and size were pretty good. A bit wide. But after 2 weeks they completely broke. A piece of junk.

Probably the worst running shoe I’ve purchased this year. And for reference, I’ve tried 20+ pairs this past year. First day, first run, the eyelet (which is made of some weak string) snaps. Great!! Thanks Adidas. Almost rolled my ankle. Smh
