I was a big fan of terraventure 2. But the terraventure 3 is amazing. As a disabled hiker I have had multiple brain surgeries, multiple spine fusions and refusions, to many knee operations. Topo has changed my life. I am doing more that I have in years from road walking to hiking. My feet feel good these really help my knees, back and whole spine. I always tell people if Altra and hoka one one had a baby topo is it. Great upgrade. Thanks as always topo.

Used this shoe for the first lap of an ultra (about 30 ish miles). Loved how responsive and comfortable it was! The fit is definitely true to size. I took these out on trails that were full of roots and rocks with 11k feet of elevation. Had zero issues with traction or fatigue. My only complaints were possible lateral stability and feeling some of the rocks. A rock plate may help here, but then that would add weight. Great job!

I have been running in the Ultraventure Pro for all of my trail runs and now that I have the MTN Racer 2, I reserve the UV Pro for my longest trail runs. The MTN Racer 2 is perfect for everything else. Its more nimble and runs well on buffed out trails but is rugged enough for the more technical stuff. I sized down to a 9 but could probably have stuck with a 9.5, even though the 9.5 in the UV Pro is a tad long. This shoes checks all the boxes: wide toe box, moderate drop, rugged and light.

Really nice shoe, didn't care for v1 as that shoe was too firm, ran short lengthwise, and didn't care for the warm upper material. Those issues have been addressed in this shoe. The cushioning is really nice, however at times I did feel some rocks with the loss of rock plate in this model. The tongue may be a bit thin for some. Periodically noticed some small debris entering the shoe right underneath the ankle area. Really nice update, upper is sooo much nicer than the original. Highly recommend.

So an obvious draw to Topos is the toe box. Often over looked or not mentioned is they are extremely breathable. I am use to wearing Hokas so the Topos don't feel quite as cushy. Subsequently, they feel much much more nimble, especially with the vibram outsole. These are my go to shoes for short to mid mileage hikes or anything technical. I will be a returning customer.

The Phantom is a little more cushioned & heavier than the shoes I typically use (Newton Running), but have been a nice change of pace. As I get older (currently 63), I may transition to more cushioned shoes and this will be my first candidate. The overall design complements my natural running style.

Any chance you can make a 12.5? I'm right in between sizes

I enjoy the wider toe box and the soft upper. The shoe provides the right amount of cushion for me as well as stability

Use these for hiking in the Sierras. Have had them through rocky trails, creeks and wet areas. Awesome grip on the trail. After going through creeks they dry quickly. The rock plate and foot box are perfect. Ordered a half size larger based on other revues and they fit my feet really well. I will be putting them to the test on 200+ mile trail this summer. So far, love them.

I received the Topo Ultrafly 3 shoes and try this.  I love this shoes the toe box is wide and comfortable. The middle foot and ankle is locked to the shoes. I will use this shoes for my fasciitis plantar pain for walking. I use zero drop and wide toe box for my fasciitis plantar pain and help me with this problem. The drop in this shoes is 5mm but I feel nice this in my foot, is low compared with others brands. The shoes seem good quality.
I'd also recommend:
I use Altra and Topo in walking or running shoes

The Mountain Racer 2 is the best all-around trial shoe of '21. Unlike the original MR, which was really fun for shorter distances but increasingly unforgiving after 10-15 miles - especially in technical alpine terrain here in Colorado - the MR 2 rides like a true ultra-racing shoe. Plan fo use it on my next alpine 50 k in a month and, if it works out like I reasonably expect given the comfort and agility of this shoe, an upcoming 100 miler. Combines the common-sense shape of an Altra with the comfort of a Hoka and agility of a Salomon. Well-done, Topo. Keep it up!

I wore Hokas for years then the toe boxes started getting "stylishly" narrow. I tried Altras but the zero drop didn't work for me, then a friend suggested Topos. I find the shoe to be sized honestly and best of all the toe box is perfect for me and the caller hugs just enough as well. I love this shoe.

The MTN Racer might be my favorite trail shoe of all time, which is a hard title to claim just because I'm fortunate enough to get to try a lot of different shoes. That being said, Topo has somehow improved upon the MTN Racer from its first iteration in really great ways. First, the new Zipfoam midsole feels just a little softer underfoot than the MR1 felt but without losing the responsiveness; you really feel that multi-density foam going to work. Next, I wasn't sure I was going to love the new engineered mesh upper as much as I did the ripstop material they used in the MR1, but I was really wrong. The new upper really hugs your foot in a great way and I really think it's going to pass the durability test (hard to say yet because I only have 30 miles on my pair). Great work on this update, Topo!

Amazing shoe. Fantastic cushioning, excellent midfoot hold, great toe box as always. Favorite shoe to run in. Please keep this one around for awhile, and request more color ways. Highly recommend.

These shoes are very comfortable. I love the wide toe box and the nice ground feel. One improvement would be to go to a totally flat insole. The insoles are ever so slightly higher near the arch which created some arch pressure. I replaced them with flat insoles and all is well!

I live on gravel and switch back and forth between these and a more "trail" style shoe from Altra. I do run purely on road occasionally (like this morning) and enjoy the feel of the Topos. My challenge has always been the toe-box of shoes being too narrow, but Topo have this figured out!

These shoes are amazing. Big improvements from Phantom 1! I use them for road running and walking. Bouncy feel, nice cushion, very roomy and comfortable toe box, snug midfoot. I have bunions and these shoes are great. I have Hokas, Altra, Asics and other shoes from quality brands, but these are the the best ones I have ever had. I have not tested them long term so I hope the quality holds up.

I love the wide toe box. For me it was so difficult to find a running shoe wide enough for my feet. TOPO for the win on this. No bloody toes, no scrunched toes , no pain on the tops of my feet. A very well designed running shoe.

I went for a 3 hour run in them right out of the box. The sizing is similar to the previous model. However, the mid foot is considerably more form fitting. As far as function, my run was terrific. I have zero hotspots, blisters, or sores. This shoe locks down on your foot. The slightly sloppy slide from the original is gone. I feel 100% confident making that statement. I live in West Virginia. My entire run was up and down a mountain. We don't have long climbs and declines like as in other parts of the country but we have short steep drops and rises. This terrain is brutal on I'll fitting footwear. I love these shoes. I have been racking my brain trying to remember the last time I had such a great shoe. If you change anything, the upper is not quite designed for the heat; this shoe will be ripe before mid-July.
