I believe that these are the most comfortable boots I’ve owned, with my high arch support insoles tucked inside. They have very good shock absorption (cushy), and have good ankle support. I liked the first pair so well, that when they were nearly wore out, I found them on sale again, and ordered this second pair.

Good boot, good fit, just too stiff in the ankles for my needs.

Not quite the fit and comfort I expected from ECCO hikers. The insole does not have as much padding as previous hikers have had. The sole is not nearly as comfortable. Overall though a very acceptable piece of footwear. I still wouldn't trade it for any other brand.

I'd like to echo other reviewers, it is a good boot with one MAJOR problem ... the back-end of the boot is far to tight on my heel. I've bought many Ecco shoes in the past and they are usually very good and fit well, but this pair was a major let-down.

The back of the boot is narrow causing it to dig into your foot right behind the ankle. Massive blisters.

These are still my favorite boots. In my opinion, for the price they can’t be beat. Zappos had them on sale for under $100, so I bought three more pairs. I’m a little worried they are going to be discontinued, because the normal sale price was $125. I think $185 normally. These make my seventh pair. I do only get about 200 miles of concrete sidewalk walking, along with everyday wear out of them.
