I bought these to wear at work. I'm a pull tender at a local brewery and am on my feet for long shifts. Our company believes in crocs so much that they give us money to buy one pair a year to use at work.

I discovered these rather odd shoes at a WSL Surfing competition back in approximately year 2002 or 2003 and thought they might be a good idea for work shoes. I was wrong, they were GREAT for work!! I have been an operating room, ER trauma nurse for over 30 years and stand, walk, run, on tile or cement flooring usually covered in multiple wet substances that vary from water, vomit, urine, blood, oils, etc from 7 to 18 plus hrs a day straight depending on the day. I have also had multiple back surgeries, that include rods, plates, screws, etc, throughout my neck and progressing through to my lower back due to an accident. Lucky for me, I discovered Crocs to be my go to shoe for superior support, PERIOD!! They also have little nubbins on the inside sole that give a gentle foot massage as you wear them. On the exterior they are able to grip wet floors when you walk/ run as well. I've tried others types of shoes but nothing compares to Crocs. They honestly feel like I'm walking on marsh mellows, have an arch support and straps to hold the shoes in place if you need it. I have always had people joke or giggle about my funny looking shoes especially in the beginning, which is another reason I was drawn to these shoes. (If I can get a patient to take their mind off an extremely serious situation if even for a moment, then that may allow me to connect with them on a different level which may then allow more trust that is needed at that particular time). I'm also an artist and I have customized my shoes by painting on them myself before Crocs started adding a little style to their shoes and I've received a lot of compliments from my co workers or patients , anything to brighten their day especially if they are experiencing one of the worse days of their lives. I can't begin to express my amazement and happiness when I now noticed how many "celebs" are now wearing Crocs and all the incredible high end fashion labels putting their name and twist on these shoes, Congratulations Crocs you deserve it!!!. All I can say is give them a try. They can be thrown in the clothes washer or dishwasher, to be cleaned / sterilized easily. Believe me when I say I have had every imaginable body substance and then some spilled on/ in my shoes and clothing and I mean some VERY disgusting substances, so I always keep an extra pair in my locker at work !!!! Hey Crocs Co, would you be interested in a little "think tank" to consider some outsider color / paint ideas? . To the founders of Crocs, Bless you and THANK YOU!!! I honestly feel you helped save me, my occupation, and allowed me to return to the work I love doing as a nurse. I hope that anyone that gives them a try enjoys them as much as I do! Well, before I owned a pair I would say that I hated Crocs. I did not like the look of them I thought they were too trendy so I swore I would never buy a pair. Until I did. They are the first things that I put on after I come home from work and do not leave my feet until I go to bed. I wear them wherever I go regardless of if they match my outfit or not. I'm sold!

It was a bit too close for my regular size therefore,I had to exchange it for one size up. Other than that the color was very nice and it is comfortable.

Wear them almost every day. On colder days with socks. Comfortable and so bright red! Don't make my feet hurt at all. Love my classic clog Crocs.
