Great material, fantastic arch support and can easily charge through gravel and snow.

There is a lot to like about these booties. Unfortunately I decided to return them, which I’ll share in a minute. First I want to say they are lovely, I was wanting a more weatherproof bootie that also included a lug sole (more anti-slip) yet looked a little more dressy, and these nailed all of that. The quality is fantastic, and I found them to be true to size. Ideally I would have liked the heel height to be a little less, and I thought as much as I was ordering, but decided to try anyway, since some reviews mentioned despite the heel height it still felt balanced when walking. About that, so for me they felt a little like I was pitching forward, not excessively so, but I would not want to have to trek a long ways in them. The width at the toe area seems a little narrow, and I do not at all have wide feet, I’d describe the toe shape as almond (as opposed to round). The weight of the booties is a little heavy, but I think that comes with the territory in this type of shoe. I wore them around the house for a while, using the stairs, on hardwood as well as carpet. My decision to return them is mostly because I felt they would get too uncomfortable for me wearing them as I ideally want to, which is out for an afternoon or evening, which would include a fair amount of walking.

I don't know quite what I expected, but I was shocked by how large and loose these felt after trying on flats in the same size by the same brand. Once I put on a pair of thick wool socks, these felt comfortable, but i didn't intend to wear these only with wooly socks. The ankles felt loose too, which is soothing I never expected since I'm a big girl with big calves and ankles. Also I wanted to give the chunky heel a chance but having grown up in the 90s/00s, I just can't do it. If you pick half a size down and like the style, these feel like quality boots that will serve you well. But these didn't do it for me.

These were very comfortable but in person do not look as good as the photos. The leather is more matte than lustrous- I expected it to be better for the price.

Toe box still a bit narrow even in wide shoe.

color does not match description. Its a very light/bright reddish brown, instead of the med-dark "spice" that I was expecting.

I need a wide D. Wide C is too narrow for my bunions. Otherwise this bootie would have been perfect.
