I couldn't have asked for a better boot. Being a heavy equipment mechanic for almost thirty years, I've worn a lot of boots. As I got older, I found I wanted a good lightweight boot that would hold up to the elements. This is the boot! My wife had never heard of Merrell, but after a talked so much about these boots; we went and bought her a pair of hiking boots. She is as pleased with hers as I am mine. I have since bought casual Merrell shoes and will continue to buy their products. This is the only boot I could take off when I got home in the evening and feel like I hadn't had a boot on at all! I know everyone is different, so I hope if you try these ; you will have the same great results as we have!

I've purchased these boots 4x and each time they deliver comfortability and durability for the job. I can get about 8-12 months of use out of them, but I buy 2 pairs per year since my work has a boot stipend.

Love the look, feel, and utility if these boots. I wear them daily as an HVAC service tech. Only issue is my first pair began coming apart at the seams within 6 months. They were warrantied and replaced with no issue. Hopefully this next pair will last a little longer.

Only worn them once, but so far so good. I will be using them for brush clearing, heavy landscaping and whatever else comes along.

Looks are great. Fit is a bit snug when getting foot to go in. Wish it were a bit wider around ankle area for easier on off. Broke in well and are comfortable.

These are perfect heavy duty motorcycle road boots. Size 9.5, my norm, a little too roomy inside for long hikes crossing seriously steep hills. They're heavy duty, tough and massive, so a little heavy hiking for my aging knees.

One size too large, just felt sloppy on my feet, even with the correct size, but Zappos is the best always the perfect customer service

I work for a municipality. These boots are the bomb ! Waterproof in rain snow and mud. Super comfortable out of the box. Look great. Great support in the foot bed and ankle. The only down fall is how soft the leather is, it does get cut easily and scratched. Ive had these boots on month and only time with tell!!

After 6 months of average daily use the stitching is coming undone around the back, like other people have stated. They are comfortable and seems to be on the warm side also in the summer. They need better stitching in the back.

To begin things I work as an electrician in the commercial and industrial field. Some days I can be in a refinery while other I may be in a finished building so I need a boot that can work well in both instances. This has been one of the most comfortable boots I've ever owned, but after only 6 months of use the stitching is starting to come apart. The sole is still fine but the leather uppers are in bad shape. Don't buy these boots expecting them to last.

I love this brand, and I very much wanted to love these particular boots. They look great, they felt very comfortable. But the one MAJOR DOWNSIDE is that the backside of these boots easily SPLIT OPEN horizontally just above the back heel. As a former designer of one of the worlds largest shoe manufacturers myself (previously at Nike), this splitting happens simply because of an intersection of too much design, too many materials and too much stitching in such a small isolated area, which is also a high activity zone. So what originally seemed like a very good design idea, by putting in so much additional support, of extra stitching and a contrast pvc heel cuff, -sadly all of this excess has become counterproductive because that excess workmanship actually fights each other, and the excess stitching in the narrowest sections breaks because the contrasting nature of leather and pvc pull with too opposition. More specifically, there’s way too much material stacking in this heel area for the stitching to bare. The esthetic design is wonderful, but the road testing fails entirely. These were expensive boots that, sadly, I can no longer get refunded.

These were a let down. I was really excited at first, the boots looked great and were really comfortable. I work as a chairlift mechanic at a ski resort and I do a lot of climbing and wedging my feet into tight spaces, so these boots did not have an easy life, but within a couple months these things absolutely fell apart. I'm a big fan of the other products merrell puts out, but their work boots aren't there yet. Merrell did make it right and gave me a full refund. I purchased a different brand and they're still holding up a year and a half later. I hope to see these improve and when my current boots wear out I'll give these another try.

Always loved my Merrells in the past, but I'm having a hard time loving these. I will say they are warm, but the composite toe makes them uncomfortable to wear for more than a few hours.

Though I found the perfect boot it's a heavy boot so you don't wear that often and I guess it would have fallen apart earlier if I did I'm just in shock how the stitching came apart on both sides but I've been finding that a lot lately very disappointed couldn't even get a year out of them and for the price I recommend no

I've had two pairs of these, only because I was sent a replacement for the first pair. Honestly, these boots are great but they're not durable. I do construction and put them through a lot of stress but both pairs lasted fewer than two months. The stitching busted on both pairs on the front and heel. If you work indoors, they'd probably be great because they're extremely comfortable but if you work outside, it's probably smart to look elsewhere.

Not fit to carry the Merrell name. My MOAB hiking boots have taken everything I've thrown at them but but not these. The stitching on the back of the heel can't even survive 6 months of moderate use. First pair failed and, the warranty replacement failed in the exact same place after another 6 months. Look elsewhere. Only benefit was the warranty coverage.

Bought these for a little extra ankle support and ended up with boots so stiff they are like wearing casts on your feet with no support. They are so stiff I can't even lace them up completely and still move my foot (even when tied loosely as possible). Despite being so stiff they still lack arch support and do not cradle the front of the foot leaving front half of my foot moving in the boot. The sole has no cushion, feels like you are walking on cheap plastic, the boots do not breath, and are unbearably hot to wear. They are absolutely miserable to wear causing my arches and ankles to cramp. As a loyal wearer of Merrel's for 25 years, (because they have been the only manufacturer of footwear that fit my feet) I am very disappointed in these boots. They run wide, long, and are not the quality I've grown to enjoy from Merrel however, they do represent the quality expected from the country they where made in which is unfortunate. I've endured these for almost a year now and I can't wait to get rid of them! Absolutely, I do not recommend these boots.

I have to report that these are the worst boots I have ever owned. With a hefty price tag you would believe that comfort would have been considered, but not the case. I understand that Workboots are heavy, but it's like walking on cinder blocks. These boots have no comfort whatsoever as the inside soles seem like cardboard. You have been warned.
