Customer Reviews Hydro Flask 20 oz Wide Mouth with Flex Sip Lid

I've been considering getting one of these for a while and loved the laguna color so much that it sealed the deal. Before I bought, though, I emailed Hydroflask to confirm that it would fit under my keurig. I even broke out a tape measure. It should have worked, but it's about an inch too tall. I've got a fairly standard keurig (not sure of the model, since I've had it for years, but it fits a carafe and definitely isn't one of the mini ones). I think I'll be able to figure out a work around (by pulling the keurig to the edge of the counter and holding the hydroflask as it fills up). However, it's really frustrating that there isn't clearer info online about the exact specs so it would be clearer if it would fit. Just wanted to share this so others are cautious about it! Otherwise, the quality seems good! The laguna color is a smidge darker than it looks online, but still very pretty.

I love the bottle part which can have multiple beverage uses. The lid is a challenge. I've never had so much coffee drip down my front before. I've tried taking the lid apart (which is not an easy task) and reassembling to no avail. With a full bottle the problem is not present but after half way full the dribbling starts. Maybe I just have a drinking problem..

I loved having a coffee cup that I didn't have to worry about it spilling everywhere when it tipped over. However, the lids are the downfall. My first lid started leaking a week or so after I bought it, I contacted customer service and they sent me another one right away (awesome!). I've had this one for a couple weeks and it's leaking again. And it's not like a little drip if it tips over, it's like a steady flow of coffee, right in front of your lip that ends up all down the front of you. I love the idea, but the lid needs some help.

I'm pretty bummed about the lid. It's been leaking when I drink from it from the top part of the lid that spins to either close the sip spout or open it.

I just opened the box. I've been eagerly waiting.... it's FLUORESCENT. I bought hibiscus. Looks like a really pretty coral Online. It's so bright, like won't get lost in the fog bright. I don't know if I can do it. I'm so bummed. Looks like perfect size. Just me, or pics of colors way misleading?! Just wanted to warn you.

The flask keeps my coffee warm for hours, which I love. I actually do like that you can take apart the lid to clean it and that it doesn't leak, but I don't know why I cannot get the smell/taste off of it no matter how much I clean or soak it! I can't even bare to drink from the lid because the taste is gross. I just screw off the lid every time I drink coffee, so my lid is basically pointless.

I bought this bottle for my boyfriend's birthday. At first I thought it was easy to carry and easy to drink. But it was terrible that the lid had leaked. The bottle itself is very good. Retains heat and cold well. But if anyone is buying, suggest to buy another bottle that doesn't come with this lid

I am disappointed with this bottle because it does not fit under my full size keurig brewer. This could be argued that it is my fault and not a fault of the product and that would be a valid argument, but dimensions or a notice was not available at the time of purchase. The product is high quality and fits in a cup holder, which was my main motivation for the purchase, but at the cost of not being able to be brewed directly in the vessel. I would choose a smaller volume if you plan to directly brew from a keurig

I love my neon on green 20oz coffee hydro flask. Keeps my hot chocolate hot at cold weather footballs, and the rest of the year it keeps my beloved iced tea ice cold. It's the flip lid I don't real like. It's super hard to clean. You think coffee and iced tea stain your teeth, you should see the stuff I removed in the hard angle to reach places under the flip lid. I soak my flip lid over night every night in lukewarm water. Next morning with a handful of Q-tips I start to clean the inside of the lid. It gross! The concept is horrible and it's a breeding ground for germs. Love the flip lid idea, but it needs work because the new lid looks like a worse germs breeding ground with all the removal parts. Keeping something that works simple is usually the way to go. The actual bottle part of the hydro flask gets 1000's thumbs up. The lids get a big thumbs down.

I wanted a smaller water bottle for traveling. This one holds cold and hot liquids fine, but leaks when you drink or pour from it. The seal between the mouth hole and the bottle must be broken.

I wanted to love this flex sip but it will work fine and then five minutes later it doesn't and everything will dribble down the front of me and I have to take it apart and hope it works correctly. Liguids do keep temp so that is great.

Lid leaks when you drink, Between first and second seam. Not a good design.

I got this water bottle from my son as Mother's Day gift. I thought it is great gift as it is leak proof. However the reside of water on the the flex sip lid fall off when I put it in my bag and wet my other stuff in my bag. If I know it happens, I would get a regular lid without the flex sip.

I've had this for at least a year. No matter how clean I keep it it leaks all the time, I've just gotten use to it. Maybe remove the "leak proof" from your marketing.

Coffee cup is great. The lid not so much, it leaks every time take a sip of my Coffee. I have 2 lids and they both leak. Any solution would be great.

My daughter has been telling me to get a Hydro Flask for years as i was looking for a good travel mug to take to work that would keep my coffee hot for more than the 30 min ride to work. I love that this keeps my coffee hot all morning. The worst thing about this mug is the lid. Once i took it apart to clean it, i can't get it back together correctly. The red silicone seal won't line up correctly. It either leaks all over when I try to drink out of it or I can't drink out of the lid at all. It is VERY frustrating and disappointing because i love the mug itself. So now i have to take the lid totally off in order to drink it, which defeats the purpose of having a lid on it at my desk.

The Flex Sip Lid is not for me. While I haven't experienced any leaks, a 4 piece lid is too much. Anyone with large hands or a weak grip would have difficulty disassembling the lid for washing. Even with regular washing, the rubber seal can absorb coffee orders. I would 100% recommend any of these products with any other lid.

I have to agree about another review regarding the lid. I loved the idea of having a durable coffee mug that would keep the coffee hot but the lid ruined this cup for me. The lid is so hard to clean. In theory it seems like a good idea to have all the pieces come apart so you can wash every inch but if you don't put it together just right, it will leak. I've tried several times and I've stopped using this cup because of the lid. It very much "soaks" in that coffee taste so I can't really use it for other drinks. I'm thinking of perhaps purchasing a different type of non-sip, regular screw on lid if they make one just to salvage this purchase. It's that much of a hassle :(

I recently bought the 20 oz Hydro Flask Coffee mug w/Sip Lid. Really liked that you could take apart the lid and wash the individual pieces, that was the selling point for me. However, despite following the directions included with the mug, and the video on how to disassemble and reassemble the lid, it still leaks between the open/close piece and part that attaches to the mug, so I end up having coffee drip all over me. Wrote customer service and the video link was sent, as well as a replacement lid but not the sip one. The that was sent was one you have to take completely off put back on to get a drink. Not convenient when sipping on coffee. I love how warm it keeps the coffee for a long duration, just wish I didn't have to wear it when drinking.

Purchased the Hibiscus online last month, the time in between purchasing and shipping was longer then expected. I love the color and idea! The lid does not leak when closed however beware of leaks when lid is open! When fully filled and open there are no leaks but as drink gets lower and you have to tilt the cup, it leaks from in between the lid. I am hoping to find a replacement lid just for the office where I will be constantly slipping my coffee and keeping the original lid for travel purpose to and from work. I would love to see this lid improved in the future or an additional lid crea

I was so excited to get this for Christmas, I have the older hydro flask coffee cup but my coffee tends to spill out the top when carrying to/from work. With that said, this new lid is TERRIBLE. After following the instructions for cleaning and reassembling it like instructed, it leaked ALL over me, and it leaked from the middle part of the lid, and not just once but multiple times. I just called customer service to see if I could get a different cup and the lady was SO RUDE, she said "we don't do exchanges, I can send you a new lid", well I don't want a new lid that's going to do the same thing. Guess I'm going to go back to another brand that has a close able lid for coffee, very dissatisfied and I was a huge hydro flask fan.

I just received my two 20 oz coffee containers last week and was so impressed by the beautiful bright colors and was very excited to use them. They definitely keep whatever hot liquid you have in there HOT for a long time, several hours at least for me. However, it was quickly evident that the lid does not stay completely closed with the new lid design. I purchased the previous lid designed 20 oz coffee container for my husband and I with the snap shut lid and that was fantastic. Pretty disappointed that they leak the second they are other than upright, had to clean off the front seat of my vehicle and clean off a kitchen counter after my son knocked it over and didn't put it back upright while I was out of the room.

I bought the 20oz coffee with the flex sip lid last night from a major sports retailer in town. The design is just what I was looking for, the easy to carry handle, and the secured flex sip lid. And it fits perfectly in the cup holder in my car. 24 hrs later, I sadly had to return my hydro flask. Every time I took a sip of my coffee, the liquid would leak from the lid and down my chin, wetting my shirt and seatbelt shoulder strap. For the price I wish the lid was leakproof.

keeps drinks hot but the flex sip lid leaked on the second day. a positive is the company sent me a new lid, haven't gotten it yet so I don't know if it leaks also. If the new replacement lid also leaks then I will go back to the flip lid.

I'll send it back after the Coronavirus subsides. I love the product but sending it back is a pain.
