I don't understand what the problem is with this lid. Even though it is tightly screwed closed, when I sip, it leaks and drips. Very disappointed in this item.

Why Hydro Flask doesn't listen to all the bad reviews about this new flex sip lid, I just don't know. Please bring back the simple flip cap.

What on god's green earth happened to the old coffee lid? This new lid is more complicated and leaks constantly. Honestly, Hydroflask, how could a company that designs such a great container design such a poor lid? Do you as a company really feel like ~this garbage lid~ is the path to success moving forward? Or are you just coasting off of your name recognition and not interested in high quality products any more? Seriously what happened here.

Hot drinks taste terrible, because of the silicone seal. Also it's really a pain to take this top apart for cleaning - its too complicated and not easy to clean

The thermal insulation is great but the lid just doesn't work. I put the cup in the plastic compartiment of my scooter. When I arrived to work, there was no coffee
Left in the cup.

I have a love/hate relationship with this coffee flask. I love the flask, I hate the lid. Taking the lid apart to clean it and putting it back together again is almost impossible for me. It ALWAYS takes at least 15 minutes to get the stupid thing back together and my hands are left sore from trying to twist it back on. Would I recommend it? Not with this lid.

The threads on the bottle are terribly designed and it's easy to attach the lid incorrectly which will lead to leaks. Washing and reassembling the lid is tedious. Do you want to load up a 3 minute YouTube video every time you wash the dishes? Your better off with other products that are much cheaper.

Everyone "RIGHTY TIGHTY, LEFTY LOOSEY"
Hydro flask "Not"
To engage the lid, you screw it on to tighten turning right, once tightened the spout will be open, so you have to turn the top of the lid counterclockwise a 1/4 turn. I'm up early , my lighting isn't great, at 6am, I pour my coffee in the stupid cup, screw on the lid, throw it in my bag. Only to find once I get to work my lunch bag full of coffee!

This is my second 16 oz coffee Hydro Flask. LOVE the flask but NOT this lid. Multiple issues with leakage. Yes, I have reviewed the video how-to. It's just not a good lid. The other lid was much better except replacing the rubber gasket.
Not happy with this purchase.

After the first cleaning and reassembling of the lid it started leaking from between the two turning parts. which means with every sip you get a splash down your chin and on your shirt.

The bottle is great, but the lid is terrible. After about 2 months of use the lid leaks while drinking at the seam where the two parts of the lid turn. I dissasembled the lid and cleaned all the parts, but the problem persisted. Thinking this was defective piece, I ordered a new lid. Unfortunately, ~2months later I'm having the same problem. Im stuck with a nice cup.

Just drank my first coffee out of this flask. Tasted like the silicone of the lid. Cleaning seems to be very tedious due to the shape of the silicone seal.
Nonetheless, 1 star for the nice look and the good sealing.

Flex Sip lid ruins a great flip top product. Over-engineered.
The flip tops are worth more on the open market than the flex sips are retailing for. That should tell you something. Not all "innovations" are improvements. If it isn't broken, don't fix it.

I picked this up a couple months back and have absolutely HAD it with the Flex Sip Lid. I love the Hydro Flask itself. But the lid should die the most inhumane death possible. It's like a Lego set had a baby with the most worst designed trendy cleanable infant sippy cup and then said "hey feel free to drink hot coffee through me!" It never works on re-assembly, is counter-intuitive and leaks until you reseat it with wet hands 2-3 times. I get the idea behind it. I like the idea behind it. But, it just doesn't work well at the moment.

We purchased this bottle simply because it is now the only choice in a 16oz bottle. The new screw type lid leaks consistently. The same direction to screw the lid on is the one that opens the lip, which means you need to carefully check that it is not open. If you put this bottle in a lunchbox (as we do) or in a bag or backpack, expect it to open on it's own and leak everywhere. There is zero resistance to the top so it opens easily and frequently with little jostling. The design is poorly planned and not functional in any way. Why the old style with a sturdy snap closed opening is not an option is a mystery. Please discontinue this lid and bring back one that is functional and reliable. this was from order # 200100194

I wanted to love this coffee mug, but from the start, it has leaked out the front whenever I tip it to sip my coffee. I have tried several times to adjust the seal, cap, etc. with no luck. Super unfortunate!
