I love the idea of this lid, but in function it just doesn't work. It leaks badly no matter what I do. It's already been replaced once before and I just gave up. I've ruined so many shirts due to this thing.

A little disappointed with this lid. If you do not screw it down hard, it leaks from around the bottle and the lid. Once screwed down to stop the leak, it's almost impossible to remove. I've checked the gasket and it seems fine.

This is the second lid I've purchased for the coffee flask. Both lids have the same issue. Closed it is truly closed and no leaks. However the lid is twisted to the open position, coffee seeps/trickles out of the middle twist band of the lid. This becomes very annoying. I hate the drip onto my clothing. Not a good design.

I have other coffee tumblers that have an auto-close feature on their lids...so you can guess, I didn't realize this particular lid didn't auto-close, and didn't realize it was open, and the coffee spilled everywhere. Just wish the design closed automatically. Maybe I need to get the other lid...

I really enjoy Hydro Flask products, including this one. However, as others have noted, after a short period of time this cap leaks between the upper/lower parts and will drip on your chin and/or clothes. I like the concept and design, but obviously the leaking is a large enough concern to not recommend this product until it is addressed.

I was excited to try this style of lid as I have the old flip top lid that no longer kept a good seal. I am disappointed in this lid as after 3 weeks it is leaking as well. Liquid gets in between the 2 layers and drips out when you take a drink. I've taken the lid apart and cleaned it and it continues to leak.

It leaks! Don't buy, Not worth it. It leaks even it's closed!

Leaks from the middle gap a lot of the time, but when it works it's fine

Doesn't vent well you have to kind of suck on the lid and I find that disagreeable with hot beverages. I wish I'd bought a flip-style lid instead. Appears to be made from quality materials.

I used to love hydro flask and have used it for years (the coffe mug). Suddendly my old lid started to leak. So after a very long waiting period I finally got the new wide mouth flex sip. But I only have problems with it. It keeps leaking almost every second time I use it. I have not found out yet where the problem is but it is extremly annoying. It might just be me who is unable to adjust it properly, but I can't figure it out. I really loved the product for many years but now I would not reccomend it because it is leaking almost every day and I do not know how many shirts I have full of coffe because it leaks always very suddenly and unexpected....;(

The lid is great but to properly clean the lid, the video misses out the under side seal. It gets pretty yukky after a while. I got it out fine to clean it but now it won't go back in, rendering the lid pretty useless. If you just don't take this out it's great! But our lid was getting smelly.

This was a good thought because the water stays cold, so this way I didn't have to take the whole cap off, but mine leaks all over. I even tried to re-set it up, but it didn't help. I cant even order a new one this way because mine is all white and they don't sell it.

Been using this lid every day for several months now. I had to move it from my coffee bottle to my water bottle because it leaks from the middle seam. When closed it seals pretty well but while you're drinking it'll drip down your chin all the time. Don't recommend.

We love this lid but the red silicone on the inside mold and you can't get it out. The lid works really well but the silicone needs to be redone without so many crevices where it catches the water and doesn't dry which cause the mole.

It leaks, what else is there to say. It leaks between the spout and bottom.

Well, I wanted to believe the vast majority of positive reviews, and was willing to think that all the negative ones about leaking were just from folks who didn't know how to put it back together properly... BUT mine started leaking after about 3 weeks of use. Not sure if cleaning it ruined the seal of the silicone piece or what. I can't trust it in my bag so I only use it on my desk at work. Pretty disappointing, but I do like it when it isn't leaking and dribbling water down my shirt.

Unless I'm doing something wrong (which I don't think I am), this cap is useless unless your bottle stays upright AT ALL TIMES. Even in the closed position, if your bottle tips, it leaks everywhere. I bought 3 of these because I liked having the handle and an easy access spout. I regret it! My favorite bottle doesn't fit in a cup holder and I can't bring it in my car with that cap on it.

This lid was great when I first got it but then after taking it apart to clean it the first time, it was impossible to put together again and leaked without the third part. I finally had to throw it out! I would not recommend.

I'm a fan of the old school (discontinued) Hydro Flask flip cap, but this new cap is nice. Does not leak in my bike bag. Swing handle makes my bottle easier to carry

I bought this 2 months ago and loved the ability to take the lid apart to keep everything clean. I was so sad when the lid started leaking. Also disappointed at how fast this happened.

I have a couple of these tops - the reviews sounded great - they don't go back together well or easy - they are just sitting in a drawer wasting space

I got a new Hydroflask for Christmas this year and it has the Wide Mouth Flex Sip Lid. I really like the ease of cleaning as I like my coffee mug to stay shiny and clean. What I found immediately disappointing is that the lid leaks, right down my chin when I am drinking from it. What I notices is the twist part of the lid does not stay snug when in the open position, which leaves a gap between the top and the inner seal. So the new mug gets set on the shelf.

I bought a this lid to accompany my flask. I purchased them at the same time, maybe a year ago. I am extremely happy with the Hydro Flask itself, but the lid has been a disappointing. I'm not sure if it is due to 'wear and tear', but it is no longer leak proof. Ive taken the lid completely apart many times and it still has not fixed the issue. They provide a 'lifetime warranty', but making a claim is difficult and lengthy.

The old lid was breakable, but at least it didn't leak bits of coffee all over the place.

i bought this a while ago and haven't used it because i'm every time i do it spills all over me. i expected more from hydro flask.
