I actually bought two pair, one dark brown and the second tan. They ended up being shipped separately and the system only recognizes that I bought one pair. They both look very nice. I put them on and they felt large so I put my shoe insert into the first pair. It felt slightly big but I thought I would get used to it and wore them. When the second pair came they were a half size smaller but I still felt that they were too big. With so few eyelets it is hard to tie them tight enough to where they don’t feel loose. They can’t be exchanged because I’ve already worn them. When I went to return the second pair the email that Zappos had sent me did not list that pair and I got frustrated and just gave up

The lack of a third eyelet allowed the shoe to shift while walking creating an uncomfortable shoe.

I usually take a 9.5 or 10, and these were clearer a full size larger, as my big toes were at least an inch shy of the toe box, as if they were mislabeled. I never got beyond the initial try-on, so I won't comment on looks, construction, etc. The one star is based solely on the size disparity, and not about anything else.
