I am a long time clarks desert boot wearer. The Desert Coal solves all of the complaints I had with the original: flimsy laces and sole, etc. As an evolution, Clarks totally got this one right. Clarks, please DO NOT discontinue or change the fit of this boot! I’ll be ordering the black suede version for many years to come. At this point I’m never going back to the Originals.

This boot is a real improvement over the original desert boot. It has a more secure fit and does not feel like it is about to slip off. The laces are thicker and can be pulled tight without them breaking. I like it as a go-to everyday boot that was well worth the price of the upgrade.

I purchased these Desert Coal boots in sage suede in size 10 for my husband who generally wears a 10. He absolutely loved the shoe and the fit. He wore them for the entire day on Christmas and didn't complain once that anything was bothering him. He has a bit of a wider foot in the front and a slightly more narrow heel, so he did mention they were a tiny bit big in the back but certainly nothing he that interfered with the overall comfort of the shoe. I did also purchase him a pair of the traditional Desert Boots so he could compare the fit and decide which he liked better. He did not like the traditional boot so I will be returning them. He said they were like walking on the floor with socks on and thought they were too snug in the front and way too big in the back. I'll be returning them.

The fit was roomy, especially across the front of my foot. I love that space These Clark’s have become my new favorite shoe.

They are a bit large but acceptable.

I don't have anything negative to say exactly how it looks on the picture is exactly how it looks in person loving it

Listen I am a fan of Clark’s have nothing bad to say about this I love them this color is fire the boot is comfortable and if anyone don’t know these for the summer not the winter they have the winter ones if you want???????????

Everything was excellent no complaints from me

Really like this boot. The leather is a little stiff at first, but broke in nicely. Only complaint would be I’ve worn a handful of times, and the “Clarks Originals” logo on inside of shoe is practically almost a rubbed off. Not understanding why, especially on such a expensive type of boot.
