Being a lineman we always wore cathartt. Fed up with the fit and inconsistent size of carhartts and after trying the Ariat m4 for regular everyday wear I decided to purchase the Ariat Fr m4.
Boy these pants fit identical to the non fr m4 pants.
Really happy with the fit and so far holding up great. Except for the couple small FR tags these look just as great as my other Ariat pants and fit great with my cowboy boots or my lineman boots.
I normally wore 33 or 34 waist and found a 32 ariats fit great.

Decent jeans just wish they were more affordable. have to wear fr for work and 110 for a pair is kinda steep.

My husband wears jeans that are 38 in the waist in multiple different brands so we ordered 38x32 in these but they fit more like a 36x32. Too tight in the waist.

Ive worn these jeans for years. Sometime recently it seems yall changed more than. Just your tag style. The jeans which used to fit me perfectly are now way to tight in the thigh and crotch area. Even after trying to go up a size they still fit tight. Way to ruin a good pair of jeans

It's a shame, because these are the only FR pants I have found that are designed for someone younger then your grandpa's generation. Low rise comfort let you work. BUT! The crotch comes unstitched on every pair of Ariat FR jeans I have. This happens within weeks of owning. My non FR ariats have never had this problem not sure why they can't get FR jeans right. It's frustrating since I have to wear them to work every day and not sure if at some given point is my junk gonna fall out. I've been sticthing them up and reinforcing the crotch as soon as I buy them but that's kinda aggravating to have to do that after paying $80+ for them. I would only recommend them to others because off the nice fit at the waist and maneuverability, where as most brands of FR have waists that come up to your chest like your grandpa use to wear. Not pleased about having the crotches come unstitched, if there were more women in the line industry is be worried about getting in trouble when the pants go bad.

Highly disappointed at first they were my new favorite jeans very comfortable but they don't last long, has stitching come apart in the crotch area and the pocket linings don't last either, went thru 3 pairs within 8-9 months thought they would last longer seeing how much they are per pair

Pants are litterally falling apart after two times wearing them and two washings. There are small holes developing everywhere on these pants.
Definitely not safe for arc flash

This is my 5th pair of these jeans and I love them, however, my second pair the zipper pulled out of the seam within the first week, I figured it was a single fluke and the pants were still wearable so I did not worry about it and I have had 2 other great pairs since then until now, in April I had purchased 2 pairs and began wearing one immediately leaving the other in my closest incase an older pair were to rip, I recently took them out for the first time and whilst putting them the zipper ripped out from its seam in the same spot on the right side as the other pair had before, I no longer believe it is a fluke considering they were purchased over a year apart from each other and are still advertised as having heavy duty zippers. I still love these jeans and they are the most comfortable jeans I have ever owned but there must be an issue that 2 out of the 5 pairs I have owned over these past several years ripped in the same fashion without work or user error being involved.

I purchased 4 pairs, all of them the stitching has come loose, they easily tear. Love the way they fit but won't buy another pair. Absolutely terrible quality.

Waist was good but you people really massed up with the inseam or length. By inseam you meant length otherwise why their inseam is 28 where as
I have ordered for 30?? I basically know the differences between the inseam and the length but I guess you don't or some of you definitely don't. These pants length is 30 and all of them, where as I wear 32. So by calculating accordingly, I did order for 30 inseam and by inseam, I did not mean the overall length of the pant. But when the pants arrived, I am seeing their length is 30 (and the inseam is 28), which was not my intention. You people should know very well that the inseam and the length are NOT THE SAME for any pant. So you have made a mistake and now I have to return all the pants. For your mistakes, I am getting the hassle. How cool is that. . .

Bought a few pair for work and all was fine, they just don't hold up. Went to buy more of the exact pair and size. Everyone was too long and too big in the waist, went down a size and they almost fell off!

I'm relieved to see that I'm not the only one with this problem !! I've bought half a dozen pairs of M4's over the years, with the same issue every time. BLOWN SEAMS IN THE CROTCH !I like everyone else , love the look of the these pants but never seem to keep them long . My wife has tried to repair the stitching but continues to split . I feel that there is not enough material in the crotch area for proper movement . One cannot climb up on the tracks of a bulldozer or step rails of a slightly lifted 4x4 without revealing the jewels. I've since purchased the Dura-stretch style and love them even more , but could you offer different colors other than dark blue ? OR fix this flaw in the M4 !? Thanx , rant over !

I have bought a few of these and had to replace every one of them on warranty replacement only to have them rip in the crotch area after only a handful of times wearing them. These jeans are over priced and over rated. Will never buy Ariat FR jean again.

I have had 4 pair of the M4's and everyone of them has had the pockets deteriorate. The pants fit great but I can't use the darn pockets. And get rid of the pocket withing the pocket. It just creates something else to make the pockets rip. Sorry Ariat, I tried your product now I am going back to Cinch.

Our entire plant have gone to wearing theses jeans. We have to wear FR jeans everyday and I've had 8 pairs of these jeans. They are comfortable and wear great for about a month then the crotch begins coming unsewn and rips out. I won't be getting another pair unless the problem is remedied.

I own about 10 pairs of these jeans. 8 of them have a hole in the crotch. 2 of them have holes in the back pockets. 4 other guys in my office also have the same issue. We all love the look and the feel of the jean, its disappointing that the crotch rips after wearing them a dozen or so times.
