Good fit, decent style, lasted 2 years with nearly daily weekday (work) usage. Rubber sole cracked and let rainwater in, so these go in the garbage. Often a problem with rubber soled shoes, I have noticed.

I wear a lot of Clarks, but it's hit or miss on the fit depending in the style. Some styles, like this one, are not high enough in the toe box - too tight. I don't know why they do that. I got a wide, and the bottom of the shoe is wide enough, but not the toe room - returned.

I am a big fan of Clarks shoes and had bought this same style in dark brown a couple of years ago. I bought my original pair at DSW and the medium width fit my foot like a glove, even though I typically need to buy a narrow. I had long wanted to get the same shoe in black and I finally ordered them from Zappos. Well, the black pair in medium did not work out. They had too much play in the heel, even wearing socks, and I had to return them. I may try again to order them in a narrow width and see how they work.

I REALLY liked this shoe, which is very like the Clarks Ashland Lane Q, which I also bought from Zappos and which fits like a glove. But while the left shoe was a comfortable fit, the right shoe was slightly too narrow and pinched across the toes. I tried them on a few times, and wore them around the house to see if they would begin to stretch a little, but could never wear them for more than a couple of hours before they became too uncomfortable. It's almost as though my right foot is wider than my left, except that I've never had a problem like this before. In fact, it is my left foot that tends to swell and make my shoes feel too tight, not the right foot! I have finally reached the conclusion that there's nothing wrong with the shoes, but that my feet are just plain odd-shaped! If you like the look of this shoe, then I recommend trying it out, because the left shoe was VERY comfortable and I'm sure they'd feel great for people with more normal feet than mine.

Fit true to size but much narrow than stated.

While the shoe felt true to width, it still felt a little tight across the top of my foot. I wish the single button and loop "closure" was really functional. I think I would have had an easier time getting the shoe on.

Good fit

Smart looking shoe, but a little tight across the top of the foot from the elastic under the tongue. The leather is professional looking and the heel height is perfect for wearing with pants or jeans. Good coverage across the foot that shows only a little bit of sock (not too low toward the toes nor too high toward the ankle). The extra wide was way too wide and the regular wide is a little bit tight for my foot, but I am hoping it gives a little as I wear it.

I really like them and they are comfortable, but they're hard to get on my feet because they feel just a little small.
