They are easy to break in. The side zip makes them easier to get on and off. The build quality is ok but not on the same as say wolverines or Thursday boots. But take care of them and they should last a long time.

The side zipper makes it easier to put on and take off!!!!! Seems like good quality leather!!!!

Loved the way they looked. As well-made as all Florsheim shows, which I think is above-average. Decent craftsmanship and attention to details. Sizing is tricky - I own three pairs of size 10 Florsheim casual shoes which fit perfectly. 10 in this felt too long. 9.5 was better. Size down a half size. Returned them because the outsole wasn't stiff enough. BTW, I'm 5'10', 175 lbs, so not heavy. But could slightly feel tread pattern through insole and shank. Not solid enough platform to push off for effective stride. Wouldn't provide all-day comfort walking around NYC, which the true test. Settled the Florsheim Renegade boot in similar style. Sizing more accurate and sole more supportive.

I have had these boots for sometime now. I do not wear them often but they started to squeak and someone said that it's probably a broken shank.. I was going to order another pair, but after reading some of the reviews I might reconsider. Just wondering if they started to use cheaper materials. Like someone else suggested I will just go to a shoe store and see them in person.

Not quite what I was expecting. I'm a picky shopper. I typically don't buy online.

Things are not great

I never order the wide show but for some reason these shoes seem tight on the sides. I am keeping them as I think they will stretch a bit but was hoping for a better fit for that $.

These are really nice looking, solid boots. Unfortunately I had to return then because they are a bit smaller (not true to size, especially width), and I could not get the size I wanted.

I really like these boots the style and quality,I don't like the zipper it takes away from the look I mean ,are people really that lazy

Third product purchased from Florsheim. These stylish and look true to the picture. After only one month of owning and being worn maybe 15 times the rubber sole is coming off of the left boot. They aren't uncomfortable but not as comfortable as past products purchased. They are taking a bit to break in. Would have provided a higher rating if they were not falling apart.

This is my third product I've purchased from Florsheim. Initially I was impressed as the boots appeared to be of the quality and comfort I have come to expect. Unfortunately, after only owning them 1 month the tread is peeling off of the sole of the left boot. I have worn them approximately 15 days since they arrived in an office setting so they have not been abused. These boots are not the most comfortable Florsheim shoes I own, but they aren't uncomfortable. They are taking a bit to break in. They do look good and and would have provided a higher rating if they were not falling apart already.

The very first time I put the shoes on right out of the box, one of the straps you use to pull the shoe onto your foot broke. I immediately returned the shoes with the return authorization, clearly and legibly indicating that I wanted the pair of shoes replaced, but instead I was refunded my purchase. I liked the boots a lot, but the quality control leaves something to be desired.

I bought these and they are the worst I have ever bought. They did not last more than 3 to 5 month. The sole started ungluing and falling apart way too soon. Then the sticking at the captor started to unravel creating a hole. This had not happened to me ever before with Florsheim. I still have florsheims boots from over 15yrs ago that I've sent for refurbish to shoe repairman. These boots they are making now are low quality garbage. I've know this brand since 1992. It used to be quality. Huge disappointment.
