bought 8.5s lodges, returned for size 8 - still 3/4 inch too long . need to return again but cant wait for another 3 week turnaround

Every shoe I purchased of late does not fit. This was a replacement for a shoe I purchased several years ago. I purchased it in a larger size and it didn't fit
