Why are the new model ASICS GT2000 & Gel Kayano womens shoes shorter & narrower??? I have seen many reviews that mention this! I have a narrow foot, & the medium is too tight! Tried the wide today & it is wider but still short. I am at my wits end!! Ran in ASICS for over 20 years, now a walker in my 80’s and can’t get the right fit!!!

I've worn Asics GT for years in 8.5 EE. I loved that they used the proper letter designation for width so I was never surprised. Well, that must not have made them enough money since I can't find that sizing anymore. I ordered 8.5 "Wide" and not only is it snug in the width, it's also a little short in the toes, AND the shoelaces are too short to use the top hole - any good runner knows you need to use them for stability. Those top holes aren't there just for show! They're meant to be used! This pair will do for errands and casual wear but not for serious running or athletics like I wanted. Sadly, after many years of buying Asics, I will have to switch brands to find a good extra wide athletic shoe.

I'm sure the shoe is great. Sadly have been waiting for the last 3 weeks on the delivery to arrive ... any day now hopefully.

Go up a half size. Sizing is small and sole is extremely hard. I'm just a recreational runner and these got good reviews for putting about 20 miles on a week but I expected more for a higher prices shoe.

Extremely disappointed in the quality. By the third wear of these shoes, I already had a gaping hole at the base of my big toe, that unravels a bit more each consecutive wear. On the plus side, they are so cute, and I love the color.

They were good for a week, but after 3 weeks of wear the heel is completely broke down. I had the same problem with the kayano 28. Unfortunately after the same issue with 2 different shoes within a month, I'm now done with Asics. I've been wearing Asics for 9 years, and unfortunately it seems like the quality has declined. The Gt 2000 and the Kayano used to have the IGS heel, that was much better quality. Please bring it back.

Run away from these shoes. Uppers are of poor quality and there's no padding in the shoe. Expect to feel every rock or root you step on.

Got these to replace my previous GT-2000s which had worn out. Ordered my usual size only to find out that these run smaller. Not enough to really notice walking around the house, but as soon as I was running my big toe was hitting the end and becoming painful. Held them up to my old shoes and they're 1/4 -1/2 inch shorter. Of course, now I can't return them bc I wore them outside. Won't be purchasing any Asics again. Huge waste of money.

These sneakers developed a HOLE on top, near the tip of the shoe. I’ve been wearing the same style in the same size for years, but the quality has deteriorated significantly. I don’t expect a sneaker that costs over $100 to get a hole after very little wear.

Order was cancelled with a choice of 3 reasons so no idea why. Item was in stock when I ordered. Ordered them from elsewhere with very quick delivery.

I was very disappointed with how cheaply these sneakers were made compared to other Asics sneakers I have purchased for years.

WAYYYY TOO SMALL! I wear an 11 medium in athletic shoes. These felt like a size 10. My toes were at the end of the shoe and the width was much too snug no matter how much I loosened the laces. Immediately sent them back. If you order this shoe, I recommend going up 1 full size in length and ordering the next width size up.

I only wore this pair a few times a week. After a couple of months there was a whole in the toe of one of the shoes and I had to throw the shoes away. I will never buy this brand again.

Returning, not enough room for my shoe orthotics, I went with a half-size bigger and wide width and those work fine.

I already have two pairs of this exact shoe in a size 12.5. I recently ordered this pair in the same size and they felt an entire size too small. I returned them almost immediately but the size 13s were already sold out. I'm very disappointed in the sizing change and the limited stock.

I have had these exactly one year and there is already a hole in the toe. I have other sneakers that I wore for 5 to 10 years and they never developed a hole in the toe! For $129 and regular wear I would expect them to last much longer. I didn’t even wear them at all for several months when there was snow on the ground.

I got these after reading reviews from Podiatrist's, and maybe it's me but these by no means helped my feet or matched what was being said from either the doctors or the reviews. I work on Concrete Floors, and Im on my feet from 6-8 hours a day. 1 hour in and my feet are killing me and I can barely walk. The same as what I was going through, hence why I bought these to hopefully change that. I ordered the B- Medium with and they felt super narrow, rubbed againt my heal and the side of my foot. The material looked thicker in the picture, but they are super thin. They may help for some, and that is great. But for me it's the opposite. And because I wore them thinking yes my feet will finally not hurt, I can't return them. So I am out $119.00 for shoes I can't wear.

ASICS GT-2000 9 (Women’s) Worst running shoe ever, worst walking shoe, worst standing shoe, worst siting shoe, but they look GREAT! Don’t expect to add an insert it won’t help much, plus there is only room for super thin pad for a person with skinny feet. Loosen up the laces “big time” even if your feet are skinny. Only wear them back and forth from the mailbox. If you wear them much longer you won’t understand why you have back pains. Your new back pain are because, athletic shoe companies have switched from a higher heel to a lower drop in the heel, why? Who knows? Why, do they change out different sole supports? These shoes will hurt the bottom of your feet in less than 15 minutes, just stand in them. In addition, you skinny feet people if you don’t loosen up the laces ~ your feet will begin to throb. Well they will still throb, just wear them long enough and you will see. ASICS GT-2000 “men’s” my husband has been wearing them for years. I’ve stuck my foot in his newest “year old” everyday shoe and their comfortable, lots of cushion, not women’s GT-2000. Instead of buying, stand, walk, and run in your heels. Promise your heels will be more comfortable then these athletic running shoes. I've tried other Acics too and they all have gone down heel completely like Nike, but they look GREAT !!!
I'd also recommend:
Yet to find a brand, used to be Nike, than ASICS ~ not anymore

I've worn Asics for years. I bought these to replace my GT 1000 9. They seemed narrower than my prior pair, they were tight on the top of my foot, and the back of the shoes seemed really low. My heel slipped out when I walked, and the laces were too short to lace up the extra eyelets, that would keep my heel from slipping. I was really disappointed. I had to return these.
