definitely runs small - enough to go up a half-size

This is a great pair of sneakers, good looking too, but the toe box is too wide for me. My feet have too much room on the sides up front, and slide around with regular sock on. I am usually good with medium width shoes, but these are wider than typical. Sadly, I will be returning these.

Too short by half size so recommendations are off. I am a consistent 10–my toe was too close to end in a 10.

Bought one pair. Liked them, so bought another.

I felt these shoes were a bit heavier and stiffer than the previous model.

This pair of shoes was good until I started developing major heel pain as they got older.

I put that it felt a full size smaller because I ordered a full size and 1/2 larger. Ever since I've been buying running/walking shoes I have always bought a full size larger which allows for movement of my toes. However my last pair of Asics were still a bit too tight in the toes even with a full size larger so I went up another 1/2 size. I have a narrow heel and wider (older) toes with a high arch, and I underpronate? (walk on the outside of my heels). These Asics do not have as much arch support as previous ones, so I will need to buy inserts, but the ones provided are removable. Even so, these are very comfortable, lightweight shoes and I got them in white for a trip where I will be doing a lot of city walking, not the usual dirt trail I walk daily. But I will be buying this same style in a darker shade as soon as my current trail shoes wear out! I have been buying Asics for years and have never been disappointed. And, of course, when you buy them from ZAPPO's it's an easy process:)

I have always worn a size 8 in Asics and have worn them for years. This size 8 made me feel like Cinderella's step-sister. I actually wear a 7.5 in most shoes so this should have easily fit. Is the downsize on Asic's part a way of saving money? If so, becareful, or you will lose customers while saving the dollars. Very disappointed
