Disappointed, definitely not as described. Returned the shoe.

This is a beautiful shoe and I really wanted it to fit. I wear a 7.5 M in asics and this one felt very unstable regarding the upper portion of the shoe. It's more like a sock, very thin, stretchy and unsupportive. The sole was fine but in combo with the material of the upper, there's no way I could exericise or even walk long distances in this shoe and not feel like my foot was unsupported. I had to tie them pretty snug to get a good fit and that made them look ridiculous on my feet. I don't like to have to tie shoes so tight in the first place and because it was necessary, I knew they wouldn't work.

I wanted to love these! After reading the reviews, I anticipated the lengthy toe box and ordered a half size down. I'm normally a 9 in athletic shoes. The 8 1/2 fit fantastic and felt great in the heel/arch area, but I could put my whole thumb across the top of my toes before hitting the edge, and worried my feet would slide forward on a run or I'd stumble. So I returned them and ordered a full size down, got a pair in 8 - the toe length is much better but the rest of the shoe is constricting, the tongue is short, and I can barely get my feet in them. Now I wonder if I should have kept the 8 1/2 but at this point I'm going shopping for another brand. I appreciate Zappos help with the returns, very helpful.
