I have a love/hate relationship with this shoe, and it's predecessor models. First the good - no break-in period, no blisters from the outset, very comfortable to wear, excellent ventilation. In fact, if you are in cold climates, this might be considered a 3 season shoe it's so well ventilated, as your feet will get cold in winter in northern climates. Now the bad - every shoe of this ASICS GT series has failed at the interface between the shoe top, and the toe. Every one. I believe I've had 6 pairs of these ASICS shoes. Now I am back because the pair of GT-2000's I bought in November 2020, that I didn't start wearing until Jan 2021, have failed once again with holes developing where the top of the shoe meets the toe. The rest of the shoe is in good condition, but the toe area is toast. This is very frustrating. I love everything about this shoe EXCEPT it's lack of longevity. ASICS must know about this problem, and yet they fail to solve it. Planned obsolescence? I don't know, but it's frustrating that they have built a great shoe in all respects save one: It's not built to last.

I’m 6’ & 210 lbs and walk about 80 miles each month on the sidewalk. I wear the GT 2000 9’s wide width and they are very comfortable compared to the regular width which is my preference. I wear them for 350-400 miles and start on a new pair. I like these so much that I already ordered my next pair and I’m 260 miles into my current pair. I’ve had ASICS for years due to my high arch and these 9’s are awesome. The cushion is great.

I've ordered wide width women's, and they're still not cut for a high instep/wide forefoot, narrow heel. A friend suggested a men's size in the GT2000 8 trail runners. Game changer! Excellent fit, terrific support, wide enough, I can get my foot into the shoe! The fit is outstanding, and I'm waiting for my GT2000 9 to arrive! Almost gave up on AISICS, because women's sizes seem to shrink as the models change. I run and walk trails.

Fit a cushioning exactly as expected. I've worn similar ASICS before. The only problem is that the fabric in the toe box tears. This happened on this pair as well. I switch off between 2 pairs of sneakers so I've only worn these a dozen times. I do not run, just walk. So I really do not think the fabric should rip.

True fit for size

Fit like asics. true to size. Feel like the old asics not some of the ones they’ve been making that fit super narrow

Got my second pair of Asics GT-2000 9’s. Had to get a half size larger to accommodate my new orthotics. Unfortunately they were out of the color I ordered previously but still love them for running and everyday wear. Fit and feel are perfect. Will continue to be an Asics fan.

I usually wear a 9.5 with all of previous Asic shoes. The GT 2000-9 was tight so I exchanged them for a size 10. I felt the styling was ok though not as quality as years past. Now the materials feel and look cheaper. There's more stick-on labels now rather than the professional workmanship of quality shoes. It's too bad really. My previous shoe was the gel guyano-25 which is no longer sold that could see. It had quality materials great styling just really cool looking, used to get a lot of looks at my shoes. The new shoes have cheaper fabrics and just look as plane as everything else. That said, I found no problems while running so that's very important. Acsics used to be a step above other running shoes. Maybe I'm being too picky but it's no longer the great running shoe along with cool professional styling, now for me, it's just a great running shoe. Hope this helps everyone.
