Styles change, me too as I get older. Been looking and looking for a good looking shoe but with some traction. Can tell a little more sure footing is a thing I need. These are perfect. I'm writing this review only because, when I clicked to see if I could order another the requested popped up. Pretty sure when I ordered there was only one left, but gonna check and see after these comments. The fit, feel, looks I need a backup.

did not come close to fittng

Nice looking shoe, but totally mislabeled as to size. I have owned several pairs of Rockport shoes and have never had such poor fit. Absolutely unusable for me.

Like some others have said, the opening for the foot is small. If I use a shoe horn I can get them on, but they felt tight and uncomfortable. Had to send them back.

The shoe runs the tops of the toes

It was way too small for the size indicated. Despite being 4E width, it felt like it was squeezing on my toe box. Worse, the top of the shoe was not high enough. I ended up with blistering on both the tops of my toes and on my heels and swelling on my feet just below my toes. I ended up leaving work 2 hours early because my feet were hurting so badly.

It was so small I could not put my foot in the shoe. I could not even get my foot in far enough to try and put heel in!

Too tight and I had alot of trouble slipping into them.

I ordered a 4W, item was marked XW.

Felt full size larger (if not more). This particular shoe is way mislabeled in shoe length. I've used a specific insert for additional support in all my shoes for years so am 100% confident in the insert's size. When inserted in this shoe, there's approximately a 3/4" space from the end of the insert to the inside tip of the shoe's toe. I've provided a picture of the PowerStep insert (blue) I use sitting on the Rockport insert (black & red) that comes with the shoe.

This shoe looks beautiful. I bought this slip-on for my husband who needed something easy to put on while recovering from dominant hand surgery. This is not the one. The opening is so small with the instep nearly impossible to put on. I’d rides too high up to the ankles. He has a skinny foot, so I’m unsure of why this shoe was such an epic fail for him as it was for me trying to shoe him. Even with the shoehorn, it’s not easy. I nearly lost a finger trying to get them off of him. This might be perfect for you if you have full use of hands and hardly any instep. Once on they are comfortable, but getting them on was uncomfortable for both of us. They’re going back.
