These are beautiful, good quality boots. But...there are problems: #1 - sizing. There are no half-sizes. I am size 9, so 39 was a tad too tight, exchanged for a 40 (9.5-10) which is a 1/2 size too large. Size 39 (8.5-9) I could wear with nylons on, 40 - with a very thick sock. Another - huge - problem is: no arch support, zero. After wearing them for 2 hours my feet felt like wearing high heels - very tired. These have been manufactured with such attention to detail and then - there's little cushioning and no arch support - what a shame. It could be a perfect boot. So - I would not recommend them to a friend - unless she would only want them for wearing while sitting. :)
